Warhawk sold over 1 mil and it ran smooth as a butter without any lag with 32 online players. It was hosted on a rack of dedicated servers (PS3 consoles). 7 years ago. I think they could manage 6 vs 6 matches.

You didn't answer my question. I know there are 100s of millions of PCs out there, but how many are more powerful than the PS4 and X1?
I tested Sony Personal 3D Viewer couple of years back and it looked amazing. It was only 720p. It's not only resolution that matters, it's resolution AND size of the screen as well as the distance. Small 720 screen close to the eye can look better than 80 inch 1080 TV 2 feet away from you.

It's not only Sony. Few years back my friend went across the border to buy a car because the price wasn't adjusted for strong Canadian dollar.

You are talking about two different cases: two years ago we were overpaying by 10%, now we are paying the real price. The first one was taking advantage of strong Canadian dollar, the other one is making sure Sony, developers and retailers aren't losing money. We should have been pissed two years ago, not now.

I for one don't care about MP. I clocked 500+ hours on Warhawk at the time and created a huge backlog of games. Now I want 6-10 hours SP games. If I had more time I would probably think differently.
Imagine 1080p on Xbone... because that's the only way it can happen.
