You should try Motorstorm Apocalypse and Super Stardust. Motorstorm in 3D is INSANE!!!
When I started gaming, my main concern was to buy a console that brings most money to shareholders.
There were skillshots before achievements.
According to that logic, there won't be any more games on iPhone and Android either, since we can play them on big screen as well.
Agreed about GTA 4, but for me UC 3 is the best in the series.
Linear or not, scripted or non-scripted, as long as I enjoy a game, those are just meaningless words.
I don't think it's luxury any more: I got my 3D TV for $800.
Not sure about the resolution, but the refresh rate supposedly suffer. Regardless of that, 3D looks better than 2D.

It's been the same with every new technology: not everyone had colour TV in the first year. Same with stereo sound, HD and now with 3D. 3D is amazing when done right and it's only gonna get better.
In addition to that, Microsoft made shooter crowd leave PC for XBox.

You have a point. Probably more than 90% of the PCs have worse specs than the current gen consoles.
They are pissed off because they have to sit on a chair at the desk. That Carpal tunnel syndrome doesn't help either.

A handheld without analogue stick seems crazy to me.

3D in Motorstorm isn't as impressive visually as is in Uncharted 3, but combined with great gaming mechanics and the whole destruction all around, it makes the game so much adrenaline-inducing fun.
