It still says 2008 on the Killzone website.

To Gandhi69 - I really, really have to disagree with you there on both counts. That said, they are still looking very good, and knowing Free Radical, this game with be lots of fun.

... and the Delorean from Back to the Future.

I can see where you're coming from sonarus, but I just wanna know... where people keep getting that it was delayed from? I mean, neither Sony, nor Guerrilla, have ever given a specific date... only the game's producer, Steven Ter Heide, has ever even given a year (which still stands as 2008), so when was it delayed? Granted, Seb Downie (Head of QA at Guerrilla) was quoted as saying there was to be a beta late last year, but that was the ONLY delay it has ever had and that was technically unof...

the company that is apparently making the 2nd ShellShock is Rebellion

I agree, I really hate this Surfer "Girl" and so do a lot of others. I'm not sure why we are still hearing stuff from him but I guess that's what you get on N4G. Either way, assuming IGN has accurate info, Rebellion will be developing Shellschock 2 and not Guerrilla (which is good, because I want Killzone 2 so bad, if they started taking people off of the project I would have been disappointed).

Well actually, while your correct that it is an actual in game shot taken there, it was from before the E3 trailer build. Seb Downie "Motherh" on the Killzone forums talked about it after the 1st shots release way back in July 07. You can tell it was from an earlier build due to the lack of green tinted optics on the reflex scope and the weapon had been visibly stretched. ;)

So it's $60 million now, is it? Motherh, the other dev that posts on those forums, put it best... "It seems every time I hear about the budget it seems to have increase a few million." Last I heard it was 40 something million... lol

I'm very active in that forum, and I'm commenting here and now hopefully we'll make a thread there discussion people discussing this here! lol Why is this funny to me? Anyway, yea, as a very active member of the Killzone 2 boards I can assure all of you that he had that coming well in advance and I think E0N (the developer in question... or at least his screen name) did handle himself very well.

Oh, thats what I get when I read right after waking up...

"but also Final Fantasy Versus XIII and the company's as-yet unannounced next-generation MMO RPG as well."

I missed the "and" lol well thanks for clearing that up for me

FFvs13 is an MMORPG? I guess I missed that news before because I never heard anything about that... is this just me?

Agreed, plus when it comes out I'll be customizing my avatar to look Helghast. Go Helghast brother in arms.

This was clearly a very badly written article as there are many problems in the facts presented. SRuN4 had a good point about the destructible environments, many of the titles presented are NOT underappreciated and the amount of polygons in Killzone 1 are equal to the number of polygons in a FULL character in Killzone 2... not just their face.

First of all, I'm not taking sides or anything here, I know what I purchased and I have my good reasons for doing so. Even if no one else agreed with me I'd still have bought the PS3 and it's not about brand loyalty. I don't feel I should have to explain myself to anyone; my money, my choice... simple.

Now, I THOUGHT the gamer zone was set up to stop stupid stuff like this but I'm not seeing it. There are still stupid posts like this that are clearly bashing one console or anot...

I've personally studied many, MANY religions and since I'm an Agnostic I don't belong to any of them and I have no bias towards any of them either. However, let me assure anyone who's never researched Islam (or any other religion for that matter) that while it may seem like all terrorist are Muslim, this view is incredibly flawed and inaccurate. The extremist groups in the middle east are twisting the people's minds in the region and rallying them under the misrepresented banner of Islam. The...

In Japan they have a DS for ever occasion. In fact, many japanese gamers have 5, even 10 DS's.

Joking aside though, you have to keep in mind that Japan is, although geographically small, very densely populated. Japan has the world's tenth largest population, with about 128 million people. In fact, just the Greater Tokyo Area is the largest metropolitan area in the world, with over 30 million residents... basically the population of Canada. So, no, it'll be a while yet till they...

Well I find it is a bit over rated for me too. I mean, I have a 60GB model (and I did that on purpose just for the feature) but in all honestly I have actually never used it. I like knowing it's there but I really haven't used it yet... plus I have 2 PS2s. lol

Oh man, when I was a kid I LOVED lego! I still remember my greatest achievement with it was when I decided to build Junon (from FF7) out of Legos; working cannon and all (well it had recoil lol unfortunately it never actually shot anything). I even built the Highwind... oh man, great days.

TheExecutive - Agreed

XiaoSet - While after this I can easily see them turning a profit on the console alone that's not generally what Sony likes to do, they perfere to keep their consoles in the break even area, maybe even selling them at a slight loss, and then they let the software make up the profit, unlike Nintendo which is pretty much the opposite as they are selling the Wii at a huge gain.
