A definitive beast that relied on bullshots to gain attention, failed to sell more than 200,000 copies in its first month of release, had horrible multi-player, is currently being bundled in every single Xbox 360 to boost its sales numbers, etc etc etc.
Let's see if Gran Turismo 5 can top that (Note there is a tremendous amount of sarcasm in the previous sentence.)
"The game didn't seem to take a huge hit to image quality on the 360--look at the screenshots and you'll know it's certainly a fine-looking game--though it also wasn't the eye-popping visual revelation the first Crysis was two years ago, and the frame rate in this early build was a little dodgy."- GiantBomb preview.
Of course it's not about sales, it's about great gameplay.
Look at what happened with Splinter Cell; Not only did Ubisoft completely dumb it down for the casuals, but they inadvertently made the game feel like a rushed and 'last-minute' project.
Good article, but I disagree with the Heavy Rain point.
The success of Heavy Rain isn't because of fanboys saying "it's a great game try it out :D!", it's because Heavy Rain is the first TRUE glimpse of the evolution and future of 'traditional' gameplay and story-telling.
Quote me on this; Years from now we'll look back and point at Heavy Rain as being the originator of how games are currently being played and experienced.
Only a fool would deny GT5s inevitable domination.

Why should Crysis be any different, considering it's the game that will 'push the Ps3 to its graphical ceiling' ?

Inferior to Crysis on PC? Check.
Poor framerate? Check.
360 version? Double check.
Just the facts people, jus...
The Real Driving Simulator is also The Real System Seller.
This game looks pretty awesome, day 1 purchase for me.
Oh. So just like HDMI, USB storage, etc?
I could've sworn Microsoft said 3D wasn't relevant to gaming.
They have a word for this, "delusional".
Everything else, depends on EAs investment in review swag.
I wonder why it doesn't resolve, it's not like Activision want to make more Modern Warfare games I mean...
It's only when a certain console lost the 'graphics crown' when graphical achievement became 'irrelevant'.

I find that very hard to believe.
What's the name of the Sony spokesman?

Sony doing well worldwide, good news.
