'You do realize the Ps4 is now just as paywalled as the ONE or 360. '
Not at all. Without a subscription to PS+ you can still access game leader boards and other non-game play related features, there are free to play online titles which don't require a PS+ sub and you can stream Netflix etc without a sub to PS+.
Anyway, what is the cost of PS+ when you look at the sales and 'free' games that come with it?
'Your Ps4 is basical...
'I will not pay an additional fee to unlock the other half of a game that I purchased FULL price for'
You expect all the infrastructure which makes online play possible to fund itself? The monthly cost of PS+ is the equivalent of a single pint of beer here in the UK and you get 3/4 'free' games each month to keep as long your subscription runs. It's the best money I've ever spent and I still have no idea how Sony do it.
It's hardl...
Here come the smears. Always the same, any objection to DRM dismissed as luddism.
I buy games new at full price on a fairly frequent basis. My favorites I keep, the others I sell on. The money I receive from selling games I choose not to keep I put towards the purchase of my next NEW game. Remove that revenue stream from me and guess what? I'll buy fewer games. I simply won't buy into any console that is as restrictive as the Xbrick is promising to be.
Some of the difference can be accounted for by repeat purchases after the dreaded RROD strikes. Some people are on their 4/5/6th Xbox. Nevertheless, Xbox certainly has captured the bro gamer market and that's a huge demographic.
Any figures out there showing how many unique users there are of PS3 vs Xbox 360?
'You can "pause" Kinect while playing games. '
How about the novel idea of being able to switch the damn thing off?
"At Microsoft, we prioritize your privacy,"
They should add: 'Proudly sharing your data with the NSA since 2007! First company to sign up'.

'At Microsoft, we prioritize your privacy'
Hilarious stuff, this company has been handing over data to the NSA for years. It was the first to sign up!

Xbox One is nothing more than a data mining machine.
"We're over-delivering value"
It's as if Mattrick thinks he's doing us a giant favour by delivering a console dripping in DRM restrictions, mandatory switch off after 24 hours if unable to connect to the mothership, always on data mining camera and the rest. These MS execs have spent too much time in the MS Richmond bubble of 'connectivity' and 'cloud' thinking and are too far up their own $%&*s to see what a pig of a console they'...
