Booted it up and put it down after 30 mins. Enjoyed it back in the day but it feels like ass to play now.

I used to work in a place that had a lot of Xbots and when they gloated about the Activision deal I told them it would all end in tears. But as for Microsoft going forward, they will make so much money as a publisher. And PlayStation and Nintendo players get more games.
Forget the cringe writing. The combat is absolutely atrocious. Feel annoyed I wasted an hour giving the free game a chance.
Even forgiving the technical deficiances, the game has issues no amount of patches could fix. Genuinely bemused by how well it has reviewed tbh. God awful.
I played this on GamePass, 1000G'd it, then bought it on the PS5 and Platinum'd it, all in the space of about a month or so. Was absolutely addicted to it and highly recommened it for any on the fence. Can't wait for either some DLC.

So many people will eventually play this and wonder why they ever listen to the likes of IGN. Great game and an astounding technical achievement that will only appreciate as time goes by. Mark my words, Pearl Abyss will one day make a game that will go down as an ATG, and it will owe a debt to what they've started here with Crimson Desert.
