well I used to be able to open www.nbc.com but I cannot any longer...and I still can't load most flash on the sites I visit. So I doubt this is real. Maybe in a year Sony will get the browser right :(
I can live with that. I was very disappointed with Heavenly Sword being as short as it was(the ONLY disappointment about that game :). 25 is at least a decent number to me. I had heard this was cleared up. Glad to see someone shot this dead and we can move on. No matter now, both consoles will get the game and I have a feeling that they are going to enjoy it, no matter what it's played on.
I am so going to get flamed for this but really, there is too much hate in the world and not enough love. This is a great idea to get people to read and communicate more on a positive level. I don't think game reviews are all that reliable anyways so if it was reduced to a short essay(OMG I did NOT just suggest essays!!!) I would likely believe more of what I read. I just got a console for the first time in 37 years and when I read game reviews they are all '9.0!', '9.25!','9.5!', 'BUY THIS...
I prefer it to be as long as possible. I really don't care for multiplayer over and over and over again with nothing new. Neverwinter Nights was the best game ever made for single and multiplayer because you keep making maps and adventures over and over. I have yet to see a shooter that offers this. You just can't make scenarios for others to DL and play like NWN had. Too bad, cause if you look at the sales that NWN did, do you think it was just for the length(25+ hours) of the single player ...
I believe it was a quote from a programmer who wasn't in authority to speak about what he did. I read a follow up where the guy got really laid into about what he said. He was then asked(after he was 'spoken to') if these issues were still the case... he replied that everything is resolved, there is no problem. I forgot where I read that though, sorry.
WOOHOO!
It seems to be something that is fading from the human race. "I want it now" is all we seem to hear. Enjoy your PS3 for all you can and wait. Have some self control and in the future you'll see the track records of all the platforms unfold. I don't think it's SCEA marketing(this article) and it makes many valid points about what the PS3 is capable of. Sony wasn't supporting developers like they should have. Give it some time, it will all come around. The best things come to those wh...
It's not like you can just report the numbers different, you have to put a silly slogan on it so you get attention. It's like someone standing in between 2 giant corporations like M$ and Sony and saying... did you hear what THEY said? then running over to the other camp and saying... did you HEAR that?!
pffft
Journalism implies you are stating facts and letting the reader decide. This isn't journalism it's sensationalism.
it's all about choice and having fun no matter the system.
I agree with this article and feel that over time this problem, game development-wise(for the ps3) will pass and people will be saying "remember when" in between their kick-butt gaming sessions and when they are looking at a library that will rival the number of titles for the PS2(in the years to come).
as this(PS3) is the first console I have ever owned really(since I don't count my original NES); but this game looks fun as hell. Soon as I bought my PS3 I bought about 12 PS2 games along with 6 PS3 games(have the 60g version). I totally love this thing and can't wait to try this game out.
LOL... We'll come back to this post in a couple years and we'll see where these systems stand then. It's not about 1 yr of sales, but long term durability. As I said, time will tell.
Of course the truth is that time will tell who will hold the DVD Champion's Belt, but from this techie's POV... If I had a business that had to choose, seems pointless to use anything but BR with everything it offers. Sony... M$... who makes it doesn't matter. Which product offers more and at what cost. It's a no brain-er to me.
Excellent article, though I don't need the entitlements or whatevertheyarecalled. I play to be social, not competative; but to see it would be something. I mean, I love my PS3 but wth is SCEA doing? I hope someone from Sony reads this and goes to the office tomorrow with a broom or bat to clean house with and get some changes made :)
