I think Sony went the classy way. They won, but instead of ruining the guys life forever by asking him to pay for damages and such, they offered settlement.

By doing what they're doing, if Anonymous' informations about their members would come out, psn users could create a class-action lawsuit on them.
Also, by "attacking" the judge, they're basically creating their own grave. It is a criminal offense.. And it might tighten the grip the US will have on software rights.
I think these actions will only result in aggravating their own case.

I think those pre-order incentives kinda suck. The cases will be available later on each consoles store, the bonus suits and pistol will be useless like most bonus "armor" and pistols... the t-shirt is somewhat ok, but still... they should've given a fedora hat.
He didn't need to hack the ps3 in the first place, homebrew was available in OtherOs. He screwed everyone by hacking it with his false "white knight" attitude. Now everyone lost the access to OtherOs due to his stupid crusade.
