if your getting an i7, get an x58,1366... but with that mobo, get an i5, thats the exact combo my buddy lookin at getting

i have to agree with most of your post. mind you i record for over 20 mins and can only fit 10 on youtube. theres a lot i cut out. but i feel i covered the just of it.
i do believe if your building a pc.. you dont want integrated graphics and built in sound is more common than you think. (thats one thing i cut out.. talking more of the io plate and audio)
but i still believe you should go off of the socket type because i always pick my \cpu first.

Gaming: PC>PS3 only because it can utilize more ram and improved hardware (v.cards n ssd)
Cell is still crazyy good.. but we havnt seen its full potential

@ $300, the intel core i7 920 meets my needs.. the 980 is overkill imo.. But still.. great specs

The PS3 came along and i had all these ps2 games sitting around.. never again did i want to play them.. shoulda traded it in when they were worth something...
