Nintendo not only brought cool games, they brought fun. They were pure nintendo. No need for Activision or Ubisoft, or anyone else; they proved that their games alone can make a system worth owning.
I want them to announce a game that combines Pilot Wings, Excitebike, Wave Race, 1080 and Endless Ocean, all in realistic HD. Kind of like Wii Sports Resort but not corny and all minigames.
I've been a Nintendo loyalist long enough to know this happens almost every console cycle...no one needs to save Nintendo; they have a team of people working on it right now. Just stay loyal and speak positively about the games they produce and the things they get right.
I feel pretty confident the Wii U will rebound this year and will actually go on to moderate success.
As a 40 year old that loves nintendo games I have to disagree with the "kid" label. I don't feel childish going to Disneyland or playing a board game. These things are entertainment that is meant to be enjoyed by everyone. Most of the app games I play are cartoony and "childish" looking, but there draw is that they boil gameplay down to the simplest and most fun elements of entertainment.
