I played the demo through on an OCed Q6600, OCed 8800GT, 2Gb Corsair Dominator ram and the game was smooth as silk at 1280x1024. I think I only had AA at x2 to keep the fps up. I ran it in xp though because that seems to give better results than under vista.

Monoprice is easily the best place to buy cables from on the net. I bought HDMI cables on two occasions from them and they were less than $8 each after shipping. There is no reason to have gold plating on any cable that is not analog because the signal will not degrade. You're simply dealing with zeros and ones not a variable strength. The only possible reason would be to prevent corrosion.

Outside of the power supply I would think the same US part would be compatable in Europe. You'd want to check your system specs to make sure the motherboard could support and give enough power to the video card if that's what you were after. Just do a lot of reading about your system and its components and it'll be worth it in the long run.

US and Europe power supplies are different due to the outlet power variance between the two countries. 100-127V/60Hz for the US, 220-250...

I just bought this card and it is very impressive. I upgraded from my old box which had a radeon 9800 and the difference is incredible. For any computer gamer it'll be important to jump on the newer video card wagon with all of the games around recently such as the orange box, bioshock, crysis, etc. It's good to see the technology advances these companies are making are keeping the prices of the cards relatively low.

I wouldn't be too sad about it, if you wanted to go for this card you would have most likely had to upgrade your motherboard as well as this card runs on PCIe 2.0 slots.

It is very interesting to read the amount of enjoyment some people obtain from the suffering of others. I wonder if the people here actually think of these corporations as real companies with people working there with families to feed, or as giant vacuums out to suck up as much money as possible.

In the end when you say something like "This is a great time to be a gamer, we are finally seeing the downfall of Sony and they are paying for their lies and arrogance." Yo...

I remember having to use the game genie to get games to work even though I had no intention of using any codes in the game. I guess the genie had a better connection with the NES than the normal games themselves. It always looked funny hanging out of the front of the console though.

I'm pretty sure this analogy is incorrect. If you are referring to a plane or hot air balloon lightening the load to gain lift then there is no need for a parachute in either as they easily land under their own power. The only real need for a parachute would be in a situation such as a sky diver in which case lightening the load would make no difference.

The 1080 part stands for 1080 pixels on the vertical axis of the screen. The preceeding i represents interlaced, which essentially leads to less bluring on the screen due to motion. This is seen as beneficial when there are a lot of fast moving objects on the screen such as in football games. The p stands for progressive scan which is used for a more detail oriented picture. Most 1080p screens also support 1080i but not always the other way around.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't the 360 hardware as it stands now be a poor choice in this sort of venture? I would think the reliability issues of the hardware would cause a much larger problem than simply a gaming inconvenience if it was integrated into your television as well. Television viewers are used to having their tvs/cable boxes/dvrs on for very long periods of time and the 360 hardware has shown signs of major issues after extended use. When the general public, not just th...
