a game should be and feel complete before DLC is introduced into the scene. a great example is Witcher, no doubt everyone felt the game was full and complete on its own. its when games take the main antagonist and make that a DLC package that is bad. anything that needs DLC to sell the main game is bad DLC, the game should sell itself, just as the DLC should.
