the issue is that Nintendos devs just .. are not experienced enough for these kinds of things.
look at breath of the wild and how empty that game was.
look at pokemon sword shield and the newer ones. bland, terrible and full of bugs and glitches. and also empty.
nintendo is at its best when they cater to kids, not adults.
nintendo is also fairly bad at catching up with trends.
