As far as all the whining about the always online stuff, enough already. EVERYBODY on N4G has a device that is ALWAYS connected to the internet. I got no problem with it apart from the fact that Im wondering what happens when they pull the plug and the console becomes a brick.

I would have to agree with Minato. I expect an arcade style of play from evolution studios.
I remember their WRC game on PS2 and it could not hold a candle to the Colin Mcrae 3/4. The handling was extra light and lacked feel next to CMR. Matter of fact I would go as far as saying rally games peaked at CMR4.

I agree with what you say about 60FPS and that it is one of the reasons COD is popular. Im wondering if BF4 running at 60FPS @1080P on consoles will steal COD thunder.
Good news for forza, But then 60FPS in forza (or GT for that matter) isnt really news. This has been standard in forza since F2.

CO op would be great in an open world RPG 2-4 players would be about right. Maybe co op could work like it did in fable 2, where the host is the main character and the co op partner is a bit like a "merc for hire". But that "Merc for hire" could be customized and levelled up just like normal...This would allow the devs to skip having to shoehorn them into the story.
I know Skyrim would have been even more fun if my freinds could have controlled my companion ...

I honestly think that BF4 on consoles will have 60FPS and 64 players this time around. The days of CODs reign could truly come to an end . And with games like watchdogs, KZ:shadow fall, forza 5, destiny,GT6 and sonic lost world (yeah, I think its gonna be good), I got no room for COD anyway. Ill probably pick it up to play with my freinds but im hoping BF4 sways them this time around.

There are those of us in the creative community that can make great use of kinect on PC to enhance our workflows ( I want a kinect for my pc so I can program gesture based conterols into my music sequencing software.. So yes, it is wanted..but not for games. Stop assuming ALL PC users are PC gamers. PCs are not just for games and MS knows that better than anybody.
I had ducktales and chip n dale on NES . And I got the megadrive mickey mouse games (including fantasia..and yes i still have THAT cartridge) and donald ducks quack shot. world of illusion had good co op. some great disney platfromers back in the day. looking forward to the remakes. I just hope they keep as close to the original designs as possible.

I agree with you but PS2 had quiet a few innovative games looking back. Ico and Okami for example.
The N64 was the first machine with rumble controllers. The first dual shock controllers were released to coincide with GT if I remember correctly.
It most certainly was not the first machine with 3d games. but nintendo did pioneer the use of analog sticks in a 3d game space.
sega saturn used a cartridge for game saves. The PS a mem stick. SO would not say nintendo were first with that.

the dimensions seem a little off to me. It looks taller than the sillhouette shown in the ps4 preview vid. Its also slimmer from the side.
