I'm on board with that statement. I'll always remember this gen as the remaster/ remake gen. We've had a lot of new stuff but nothing like the days of PS1/PS2 era.
Publishers got rich, devs didn't. Lots got fed up and did the indie thing.

Not necessary, we all know nintendo doesn't operate on power. It isnt even as powerful as ps4/xb1. That doesn't even matter, my kids and me are gonna love it and it's classic nintendo titles.. Cant wait.

I dont think they started it until PS4 pro was confirmed. Its taking a year and and a half if it's out by Holiday 2017.
As @Tallpine said, very reactionary. Copy other companies and throw money at it. That's not a bash it's very factual if you look at all the moves since 2013/14.

Serious question, did I miss an article where Phil or someone else said the gpu by itself was 6tf? All I've seen him say was the scorpio was gonna be 6tf.
Edit. Ok, just looked it up. Scorpio is 6tf gpu, ps4 pro 4.2 TF gpu. Scorpio memory bandwidth 320 gbps, ps4 pro 218gbps (gat damn).
So obviously scorpio specs have been finalized for a while considering Phil (or aar...
Not gonna back a lot of difference between a PS4 pro at 4.2 and a scorpio 6tf machine.
Now if they go with a beefier cpu you can fit more npc, cars, etc...
Once again well all have the same 3rd party games that look the same. Its gonna be the same story of exclusives and services.

The whole play anywhere thing I wouldn't care about though. It's a neat concept but I've tried it with my vita and remote play. It just never fit for me. I have one place, and one TV I play on, it just feels weird anywhere else.
That ND magic. One of few developers I'd buy anything they make.
If I'm not mistaken, the handheld is just as you said. Then when plugged into the base it has additional processing power
