Sorry if it's confusing.
I'm going to leave the PS3 in the living room where it is. I want a console in the bedroom so I can stream movies to it wirelessly. I hate tearing my entertainment center apart to move consoles, hence the additional console purchase.
It's nothing against any console, it's all about the cost to install the unit and get it running. No idea how people can disagree with that. :D
And so does my spare old Pentium4 1.4GHz PC... Yes, but I'm talking about cost vs. ability vs. usage.
I have a PS3, it's in my living room right next to my 360. But, I'm not going to spend $300+ on another PS3 just to stream some video and play a few games while I'm winding down after a long day.
Let's not make this a PS3 vs. 360 argument, since my post isn't intended to be troll or flamebait. Let me have my opinion, especially when it isn't biased. Good God. ...
Agreed, at least from my point of view. I have hardware capable of running BR movies, but I don't buy them unless I can get them for around $25 or less. $30-35 a movie is way too steep for me for a product I'll use once or twice.
Also, why are they putting all these old movies on BR? The PQ sucks with a vast majority because the source material hasn't been remastered. Oh hey, look at all that HD NOISE on the screen! :( Good way to shoot themselves in the foot.

Finally, I can get another 360. They make good media extenders.
I've noticed that as well. I had a few tools go as far as to say that jokes didn't belong in the Gamer Zone, that they should be made in Open. *shakes head sadly*

It would be foolish of a company to hedge their bets on the dollar staying at a low value for an extended period of time just to take a loss every time the dollar gains against foreign currencies.

IMHO the current reigning champion of the "Quick Buck" marketing scheme goes to Microsoft. I mean, having to pay for 99% of all themes on the marketplace just to advertise a game on your own system? Really? I, for one, enjoy my free themes on the PS3. Yes, I am aware there are some themes you have to pay for on the PS3.

Yes, I own one. Aside from a few gee-whiz titles, it hardly gets used compared to my 360 or PS3. My PSP is on more than the Wii is. So for most gamers, the Wii isn't even in the top 3. IMHO, of course. ;)
And this is what it's all about. Like you, I don't make my purchases based on what anyone has to say. If I'm iffy on a game, I rent it. Otherwise I take any info I get on a game with a grain of salt or 20 when doing my research.

Nice spin on this story. Even though the PS3 still outsold the Xbox360 by nearly 2k units while being more expensive in a poor economy, they would have you believe the 360 is slaughtering the PS3 in sales.

At least Dom provided entertainment for you, most of the game he crouched and hid or shot at a wall. Worthless as an AI teammate for me during my playthrough.

My interest has definitely piqued due to the new multiplayer beta media. Can't wait for the SP videos to start hitting. I'm not a MP kinda guy, so it'll be nice seeing the game for what I'll be playing it for. :)
Going through their list, it seems that only a few are worthy of being considered "Influential". The others? Horrendous hype machines. Yes, I know this is a general statement, but being more specific would start many flamewars, and I don't want that.
Also, sorry if I seem a bit jaded.
