This is what happens where there isn't any or enough competition. The consumer's opinion no longer matters.
M$ is going to ram this OS down our throats and won't blink an eye. Don't think for one second they care about the complaints. They have a product to sell and since 98% of the world uses Windows they know you'll buy it(eventually) because you really won't have a choice.
They funniest and most ironic part of this whole fiasco (and that is what it is)is that the main compet...
This place has tanked in my opinion. Customer service is now right on par with Circuit $hitty. The majority of associates don't seem to care whether your a satisfied customer or not. AND guess what? That attitude trickles down from the top.
The prices are no where near a best buy. I went in my local BB the other day and could not find a hdmi cable for under $50. Please, your average consumer does not have a high end home theater that requires a magical, jewel encrusted, gold plated cab...
Please. They dropped the price because no one was buying them.
Great piece of hardward and yes is costs a bunch to make.
Not our problem.
Now how about some games?
Just another maggot.
People don't just become like this playing video games. No doubt this guy has a history of behavior like this.
Hopefully he'll suffer a painful death or at the very least a long, equally painful prison term.
They're just trying to get rid of the defective hardware they have on the shelves to make room for the redsign.
Anyone buying a 360 now is just dumb or uninformed.
I've had 2 defective units both covered under a Best Buy warranty and neither had the RROD.
I for one am waiting to see the new design (and playing my PS2).
I see this price drop being very similar to Sony's fire sale.
MS is just trying to get rid of the problem ridden hardware.
I love the 360 and have had and returned 2 myself to BestBuy. Thank god for extended warranties. NEITHER of the units I returned had the red ring of death. They just froze. Even sitting by themselves with nothing around them on my living room floor.
I for one am waiting... 3 year warranty or not!
Hurry up MS!
Why is the wii so popular?
3 things -
1st PRICE. Duh. Sell the PS3 or a 360 for $250 and Nintendo would drop to 3rd in a day and stay there. No games and the RROD wouldn't even be a factor.
2nd Demand exceeds supply which has created a frenzy. We'll all look back on this someday and say WTF were we thinking?
3rd The world is full of technotards. The wii is oh so nonthreatening.
Just remeber to be thankful for the competition that a free market b...

With that said all systems have their merit. Enjoy the fruits of a competitve market everyone.
3 words sums him up....
