well developers now make games for increasing laptop market, its easy for PC only gamers to blame console as it suits there narrative but laptops are too big a makret to ignore either so devleopers like crytek make games to run on those as well

I also play PC games (sometimes) and will be getting BF3 for it, I work in 3D so my PC is high-end but gears 3 isnt far off those graphics even though the hardware is alm...

wont happen until the next gen of consoles where it would still be risky but at least in realms of 'commerical lyviable' territory
costs are insanely high as it is, never mind the training and the investment in new tech of a whole new generation of console would bring

as a full package I agree its got everything, but my favourite experience this year would go to Portal 2
but its like no game you have ever played and deserved of its 93 metascore

I started to really like Cole in Gears 3 although Dom is my favourite (sniff)
Alan Wake didnt do well in the US, but got number 1 in the charts in the UK, Enslaved was also in the top 10 in the UK for 2 weeks, Bayonetta got to no.1 also, Heavy Rain also did well in the UK ans was at number 1 for 2 weeks and not so well in the US
tbh the Americans tend to prefer more out and out shooters even more so than anywhere else in the world
whereas in the UK and Europe we are more accepting of more left-field games

but Shenmue was incredible
people that say it gets reptitive...well they are right...but thats isnt its strength
awesome characters, thoughtful story and a superb setting combine for an expeerience unlike any other
it was an improvement (albeit slight) on Heavenly Sword

I brought this game for the campaign and coop as I cant be bothered to get into the MP
im a SP player man now really (apart form BF3)and this game is very impressive
they got Dead Space wrong giving it a 7, when its at least an 8 all day long
Gears 3 they gave an 8, when its a 9 all day long
but I reckon they have got this right
