Nintendo needs to build up a LOT of hype for the games for the Wii U. Nintendo Directs are great and all, but nothing, and I mean NOTHING builds up more hype than a big conference in front of millions of people. It seems like Nintendo is admitting defeat just like the Dreamcast did when PS2 came out.
