There's a reason why Sega has been so hesitant to green light a new Shenmue game for all these years.
Sales for the original 2 games tragically underperformed.
I love the Shenmue franchise to death, cheesy dialogue and all. It had a certain charm to it that, understandably, most people were turned off by. With the growing success of Yakuza (particularly in japan), there may now be a chance for this game to succeed with an audience that may be more incli...
Very annoying indeed. My main gripe is that they made her into a stereotypical girly girl with a voice that sounds like a stuck up, spoiled, rich kid.
She says things like, "Oh my God," "I must increase my bust," and "Do I look fat in this?"
I know she's meant to be a satirical character, but they didn't have the original splosion man spewing stereotypical manly man quips of that caliber. "I must increase the size ...
I'm calling it now. White model of the Ipad 2 will have "manufacturing issues" in relation to the paint, which will lead to an inevitable delay followed by another delay and then ultimately canceled for reasons unknown to the public.
Please let there be an option to turn off her voice
radec was not even in the first game :p
Yeah, it's pretty unfair that they mention the psp go.
If they're going to include that, then they might as well add the gameboy micro to the list. Both of those handhelds were pretty much in the same situation. Albeit, they both come from a line of handheld systems that are successful overall. It's just that these particular versions were flops.
Did they remove the demo? I just made a hong kong account and can't find it anywhere.
Damn, guess I was too late. :l
Right behind Yoshida. Clearly, there is a cameraman.
And let's not forget about minecraft. I hate when it autosaves. When I was first starting out, I was excavating a hole and as I was making my way back to the top I fell through the hole I dug up and died, losing all my items in the process.
Afterwords, I came to realize that I can't reload from a previous save because of the damn autosave. Curses!
The gravity gun was not in portal. It was in Half-Life 2.
Resident Evil 1
Resident Evil 2
Resident Evil 3
Resident Evil 4
Resident Evil 5
lol, jk :P
IIRC, didn't they just have a camera man stand behind Shuhei Yoshida as he was demoing games on the ngp. Also, when they were displaying the new UI, they didn't show it running on the ngp itself. It was probably a pre-recorded video for presentation purposes, since the UI is most likely in its early development stages.
Therefore, it's safe to assume that there is indeed no video output for the ngp.
It looks like they're including more sections with horror in mind this time around.
I like how kojima lists environmental issues and on that list includes tanker oil spills.
I immediately though of bp, lol.
I'm starting to think kojima is a prophet. First, he created the now scrapped idea of fighting in the streets of manhattan, then 9/11 happened. Next, the plant chapter takes place on an oil facility and then bp oil spill occurs.
They ultimately scrapped the idea because of 9/11.
There was even going to be a battle that took place near the twin towers.
anybody know what kz3's retro map pack maps are and if they'll be available for download on psn at a later time? I want to preorder from newegg, since it's the lowest price, but they're not offering the retro map pack.
@venom
the development of 4 didn't even start out as an sh game. So, the sh mythology in 4 was tacked on.
and 5 was an embarrassing imitation that followed the live action film more than the actual video game series.
Since Team Silent disbanded after silent hill 4, I don't see why any sh fan would want another sequel when they're not getting it from the original dev team.
These other devs could never capture the essence of what Team Silent created. They'll never fully wrap their heads around the mythology, the subtle design in atmosphere, and the psychological references. And don't forget that Akira Yamaoka is no longer associated with the franchise. His musical score i...
Initially I thought this was going to be an article about a collector's edition of Catherine. I was so overjoyed. Then, I clicked the article and instead found an author who just now realized the US release date for the game.
