theyre making the halflife3 engine for quite some years now.
Just because valve isnt the everyday gamecompany that spreads the internet with news about how cool they are etc. Valve operates on a very hihg level (dont mention the ps3 thing it doesnt matter). i bet my ass half life 3 will once again stun the masses like hl1 and hl2 both totally stunned everyone how great solid and performant hl1 and then source runs.
valve is allready making th ehalflife3 engine for about 3 years now, and you can bet your ass off that it once again will dominate all those wannabee engine out there.
personaly i couldnt care less if l4d looks outdated (wich it doesnt) the game is beautyfull you get tons of enemys at a insane rate of speed on screen, with great textures and lighting.
