Just watched a video for a buster arm from megaman and it was the first thing that made me interested in the Devil May Cry release.
Marketable nostalgia is kind of a cool idea but you have to wonder what we'll be missing out on with such a limited selection. The ps1 had quite a long list of classics so I cant honestly see everyone being totally happy with the pre-selected collection.
My favorite battle royal style game, at the moment, so Im happy to see it getting released to more people. It still feels rough, though. Definitely doesn't run as smooth as one would expect in this day and age.
It's always a good idea to check out betas. They help determine how your feeling about the game, set some realistic expectations and get excited for whats to come.
Its strange that I find this post now. I was just occuring to me yesterday that there has been enough time since I played last the there games probably changed and I should pick it up again.
Thank you!
Great article, here. Everyone's got at least one skeleton in their gaming closet.
A good example here that a game doesn't have to have an outstanding review to be worth a look.
Gaming is a special beast, there's a lot of good that can come from it. People just need to realize. And yes, this is coming from a person that used my time playing Eve Online on a resume as leadership experience. :D
Kingdomcome247,
Thanks for reading! Bioshock was close and it would definitely be on the top 10.
Happy Holidays!
Godmars290,
The failure to maintain heading with the later games are exactly why I left them out. The entry was for the first game only, because it has a great plot+twist all on it's own. Thanks for reading and commenting!
Happy Holidays!
Qrphe,
Author here. First, thanks for reading and commenting. I have specific reasons for not including either of those.
I didn't include FF because each game, except 10+spinoffs and 13+spinoffs, include completely different storylines. And While most of them are particularly good, most people are fervently attached to one in particular, like FF 7 for instance (or ff8, in my case). And I couldn't very well do a list that only included FF games to make...
Well it just seems that gamers used to just live games for what they were. It was fun, even if the games werent perfect.
