Understanding the purpose of the bots is not the same thing as being disappointed there aren't more players.
I'm much more okay with the bots and smaller player count after having played quite a lot of the Beta. It's a great game and I can't wait for the full version.
I understand why. I was not happy about hearing how many bots would be in the game while it was only six vs. six either. I wrote an article on my disappointment in the announcement before playing the Beta. =p I'd still like it to have more players but I'm also fine with it being six vs. six after all the time I spent in the Beta.
The Beta was incredible. I won't be surprised if the full game ends up being so much better from the little extra stuff I've read ab...
Bots are meant to be used as a strategy. Blend in with them, use them for cover, and use them to get your Titan back quicker. Once you get used to spotting players over bots it’s a real competitive multiplayer experience and totally awesome.

That is very true. The problem I had before I played was just the fact that I play multiplayer to play against other people, not bots. And after I was playing for around six or seven hours I got sick of killing bots because I still wasn't used to how to look out for players. It's just that bots are everywhere. It ended up working out by the time I was done with the Beta and I cannot wait for the full game.

The size of the maps are easily big enough to have at least 10v10 if not 20v20. The only reason it's not is because of Titans. I would rather see a change in how many people can summon Titans per team and have more players.
I agree with some of your thoughts but I still have hope. They did so much to change the typical FPS game into something as fresh and new as possible. So I can't help but think they will try to improve on the game and make any cool changes that will continue to make it better.
It's still possible for this game to grow, ya know?

There are several games with really good free to play models as you and Daavpuke said. Rift I can agree on. It didn't have a great start but it sure has come a long way. Many free to play titles deserve a second look.
Loadout is really damn good. It really surprised me just how good it is. And I really have no idea how they expect to make money from it with their free to play mode. It's good stuff. =)

I agree with the sentiment, but that list of nine games more deserving is ridiculous, especially the #1 spot. There's not a single game on that list of nine that deserves it more than TLOU. The least you could have done was actually pick out better games.
Definitely glad to see someone excited about it. =) I really like the multiplayer in the game. It's pretty cool. I hate when good games lack the multiplayer playerbase they need and deserve.
I got a free copy of this game for backing Legend of Iya on Kickstarter. =) Still haven't played it yet but it looks super fun.
Do you play on console or PC? The update sounds good. I know the last major update on PC made the matchmaking much better and stopped a lot of the crashing.

The complaint is about smaller matches. What exactly does that have to do with complaining about a game "doing something different"?

That's amazing. I didn't have the same luck on my new Hardcore toon but the gear has been much better than it ever was before. It really has blown my mind. I pre-ordered Reaper of Souls because of this patch.
