Being that a 6 year old average gaming pc shits on the xbox one and ps4 when it comes to gaming I think a modern day "Steam Machine" will be equal if not better to the current consoles and you won't have to wait 7-8 years for hardware upgrades. More like modify whenever you want.
i played Tomb Raider at 2560 X 1600 on pc something the current consoles can not do (as of now). Therefore the whole hype of better graphics means nothing to me. When I buy a next gen conosle I might get this updated Tomb Raider however Other then some Ps4 voice commands what is significantly better/ different in the definitive version on the Ps4 or Xbox One compared to original version. ?
i have seen better everything on every PC version of a game

besides better graphics on consoles and PS4 voice features, whay about the new Tomb Raider games is a "complete remake"?
Besides the updated graphics (don't give a shit played the game at 1600p already) and the voice features is there actually a large amount of extra single player gameplay content or is this just basically an elaborate ploy to suck in next gen console owners into replaying a game and having them hand over money?
if you want launch games at $35 or MUCH cheaper after they have been out for a some time you should start gaming on a pc. please spare me the "a gaming pc is so expensive" blah blah.
Here is a translation.
"-I want to play on my TV without dealing with a stupid Windows interface I DON'T REALIZE THAT I CAN OPEN STEAM BIG PICTURE MODE THAT MAKES PC GAMING EXACTLY LIKE CONSOLE GAMING.
-On that same note, I'm sorry, but it just feels lame to hookup a PC in a TV room.
I DO NOT REALIZE THAT THERE ARE SMALL FORM CONSOLE SIZED PC CASES AND I THINK IT IS LAME THAT BOTH A PC AND A CONSOLE CAN CONNECT TO A TV THROUGH HDMI, I AM ALSO DE...
what "shaft" do they get? 2K NBA games run smooth as butter and look awesome on my computer
i thought i would correct this "the pc version of Thief will be far and away the best " it should read as "the pc version of everygame shits on it's console sibling"
once you buy a shitload of pc games at prices of $35, $15, $10, etc.... you end up saving in the long run.
Console gaming = great exclusives, ability to sell used games, stuck at 1080p gaming (as of now)
PC Gaming = also has great exclusives, can use almost any gamepad made in the past 7 years, has frequent cheap as shit pc game sales (so cheap that the low amount of money you get back for selling a used console game basically means shit when you can by new or slightly old pc games for $35 or $10), most games have free multiplayer, mods can add almost endless extra content to game...
30 FPS, 1080p + Phys-x = next gen consoles already outdated out of the box. the next gen consoles seem to be basically a rebranded 6 year old gaming pc. i will porbably buy a ps4 for some great exclusive games it just sucks, that i will have to leave 1600p to go back to 1080p or below to play "next gen" games on a ps4
Nice! A next gen console you can actually upgrade and not forced to wait 7 years
what does the "Oh snap" supposed to mean?
there are many websites that sell pc games at launch for $40 or $35 when those same games cost $60 new on consoles. pc games usually go on sale for $10 or less throughout the year, which barely ever happens with console games. i think there will be a trade in games feature soon on steam and i think now they let you trade games , lend out games to friends (not 100% sure yet) you can upgrade and sell your pc parts whenever you want unlike consoles. both pc and consoles have there share of exclu...
I have nothing against consoles and plan to buy a PS4 eventually. However a pc with good hardware can run games way beyond 1080p at 1440p, 2560p, and higher. Until the consoles can run games past 1080p all these type of articles are marketing bullshit to trick stupid people. I am sure most people are going to start spewing "Well a good gaming pc costs so much more then a console, blah blah blah, consoles are better" With pc gaming you can often by games at launch or slightly aft...
Finally the re branded 7 year old gaming pc will get some indie games are any of them going to be exclusive to Xbox One compared to the huge amount of pc indie games?
@Beastforlifenoob
"So yeah ima buy a ps4 for 399 and not hassle with it for ages because 4k on a 32" monitor will be almost indistinguishable from a 1080p 24" monitor. " you could not be anymore incorrect. if you honestly don't think that 4k or 2560 X 1600 (1600p) does not look a lot better than 1080p you either have never played a pc game beyond 1080p, or you might seriously have vision problems.
guess what , when you want to chan...
Better yet I can buy cheap as shit pc games all year and play them waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy beyond 1080p if I want. I love Sony consoles for the great exclusive games (sadly they are so fucking expensive usually) however console game will never come close to the frequent huge pc game discounts throughout the year.
