Yes, the prices are outrageous as of now. But the service is optional, also think it's a price point to test the the demand for the service. If demand is low for playstation now, I definitely see them lowering the price. I also think this is aimed more for consumers who don't own a console.

Exactly, the last game was ok. Also , the game has sold roughly 8.5 million on on 5 platforms and was considered a failure by square Enix. I highly doubt it will sell that many on 2 platforms.
If it's timed exclusive, why would they announce a release date for a rival platform? Part of the deal is that they probably can't announce anything until a specified time frame.
