Exactly!!! I could speak hours for DKC 3 and why I believe was better than first DKC. Ok, it was released at the end of Snes era, few months after N64 console releasing. Also, all tried to compare this game with his predecessor (DKC 2), maybe the best 2D platform game of all time.
For me, it had better graphics and the sidequests with the bears were more interesting!! Ok, the music was worse but the level of music of DKC 2 is really so so high.

I think its obvious that the 8th generation is not selling like 7th but this does not surprises me. At the previous generation we had many non-usual-gamers who bought consoles and games, its was the the most succeed generation in history of video games, just see the numbers of those consoles.
