Yeah, I think that's what's taking them so long to do, it's the battery life issue. By now I think they've solved it and I expect it to decrease but not by much seeing as how long it's taken them.
seeing as they're the ps2 in greater quantities than the ps3.
it is 3 days, you also count the 11th, don't just subtract, hehe... :)
???????
they have yet to agree/state that there is an issue with the xbox360, instead they've attached the new heatsinks without admitting what they're doing.
They added HD-DVD drives to a laptop, not an entertainment center therefore the only people that will use this as their main movie player are college students, etc. I personally don't see how this will raise HD-DVD sales enough to match Blu-Ray sales.
They didn't mention killzone 2 for ps3, even though this is probably the major ps3 game that will be shown at E3 what with them saying they've achieved what we saw at E3 back then, I'm really looking forward to it
If they manage to really impress at E3 and do things we couldn't imagine could be done, this combined with the price drop would boost PS3 into dominance of console market.
whis might be true, however you are forgetting that blu-ray and HD-DVD players will eventually match dvd player's price, add to this the "wow" factor of being the new HD storage media and I think you've got a pretty big chance of becoming the new standard.
Specially seeing how average-Joe consumers will be skeptical about Digital Distribution since to them it's some weird technology(they therefore can't trust) while they know how disks work therefore they'll be more inclined to go for the hard copy of a movie.
You gotta remember, most people(adults mainly) barely know to use their e-mails properly, let alone manage an account where they download movies transfer them to whatever media storage they have make sure it's in the right ...
Did you read the article? It has nothing to do about what format will win but about Microsoft supporting Digital Distribution versus companies who support disk formats.
I've been waiting for this game to come out since I first heard of it. Who doesn't like wielding destruction atop a fire-breathing dragon upon thousands of enemies.
I have to agree with convenience being most important and about having to replace dvd collections(though this isn't exactly neccessary). But I feel like you are too quick on ruling out the fact that people(mostly average joe consumers) have to have a hard copy in their hands to feel like a purchase is worth their money and they're not going to lose it if their system crashes. I really don't see digital distribution arising as a dominant format until around 15 years from now, and by then Blu-r...
I really hope they release it this year cause I think the game'll be great. I also noted that GTA IV is missing?
Maybe when he said vibration was 'last gen' they were working on some kind of force feedback type of controller and couldn't complete it by the time Ps3 launch arrived. Thus simple rumble would be 'last gen' compared to whatever they planned to implement.
I agree with you, media and (ahem, ahem... others) decided to announce Sony had said the game was meant to look like the render when in truth the render is the concept behind the game. This doesn't mean that the game won't look like the render however and I believe we can expect to see something totally new and jaw-dropping come E3 this July.
I somewhat agree, because for me spending the $600 for a console seemed rather steep when I got it. Now, after the subsequent updates and learning how to get the most out of it I think that $600 could be too little a price for what I got. Overall I agree with you that this is a far shot from being too expensive.
I agree that for me the remote is next to useless, however you have to consider how people less comfortable with the SIXAXIS(a.k.a. parents, etc.) will find it useful because of the more recognizable interface(remote). I think they are the audience that is being targeted with the remote. Also will be getting the charger cause I've become fed up with having to plug the controller and keep the machine running every time it needs to recharge its batteries.
then we'd be buying a new console every other month, which isn't truly convenient for the consumers or producers. No I think this setting out for the long haul is the right approach though 10 years does seem a long time, maybe more like 6-7 is more realistic
bubbles for you!!
