After the success of Dance Central, Just Dance and Michael Jackson the Experience, this is to be expected.
It's a great console that has great games. That's a big enough reason for me.

But most people who have Gamecube games to play already have a Wii anyway...plus it will reduce costs for the system, so Nintendo may be able to cut the Wii price if they wanted to.
Also, I'm guessing this is also to do with the fact that the Wii U will be able to download Gamecube games.
I won't lie, this isn't my most anticipated Zelda game of all time. However, I am really looking forward to all the Action, platforming, dungeons and puzzles this game has to offer!

Wii Slim? The Wii is already pretty small IMO. Anything smaller and it may as well be a handheld.
Not too happy about the Wii losing backwards compatibility, but at least I already have my Wii which plays Gamecube games.
Look's good. The 3DS is turning out to be quite the console for fighting games. Tekken, Street Fighter, Dead or Alive...all it needs is Ninja Giaden.
Good numbers.
