I think the blogger meant for those of us who actually purchased one...
ahahhahaaahahahahaha ahahaha ahaha ahahahaha haha aha aha ahahahahaha
oooh man that was funny.
Thanks!
Microsoft is the company that has been repeatedly fined in the past for monopolistic (illegal) business practices. You see what you want to see. Sony might have some lame advertizing (all I want for xmas is my PSP) but I'll take that over a company intent on owning every market its in and then artificially inflating the prices. Windows wasnt always so ridiculously priced believe it or not. There was a time when they actually had to compete with Novell and Lynux... those guys didnt go away...
Are faster on the PS3.
Comparing ports isnt really the best way of judging these systems. Most developers simply havent figured out how to work with the PS3 cause its new technology. The 360 has familiar hardware and architecture which means the learning curve to create games is almost non existant. So you're comparing that with a system that people are figuring out for the very first time. I think people are in for a rude awakening when the PS3 starts to really deliver. ...
Owned by Microsoft.
Right out of my mouth.
I bought my PSP in December of 05 and have been playing it pretty much non stop. The load times complaint is hardly even valid if you put the thing into sleep mode. In addition, if people would treat it like a cell phone and charge it at night you've got plenty of play time. I've run out of batteries on only 2 seperate occasions in the year and a half that I've owned it. Granted I'm not playing it all freakin day, but its a portable... you play in b...
Is that you dont have a PSP cause while most of the crap titles on there are exactly how you described (bad load times, remakes, etc) there are also many great titles.
Daxter for one is incredible, I never played the series on PS2 but the PSP version is something amazing in terms of gameplay and visuals.
Metal Gear Solid Portable OPs is another one that pushes the PSP. Ratchet and Clank got great reviews, I have not purchased it yet. Killzone Liberation is great, as ...
totally
but far more polygons, effects, etc.
How detailed do textures need to be before they look real?
is looking better with every piece of media released. I have been watching this one for quite some time and I'm very happy to see such incredible results. Its hard waiting so long for new info on some of these games but damn the last week has revealed some amazing info and media. Deep Brown, keep the goodness coming man! You've made me happy this week with all the HS and Lair goodness!!
Comments where Sony Devs have talked bad about Gears. I have seen nothing but praise for that game from consumer and developer alike. Saying that there is no place in Gears where you can go from ground to flying around the city is not bad mouthing. Its stating a fact that anyone who has played through Gears can confirm.
that the reason the game was delayed after the launch had to do with blood. Apparently they realised that the realism of the violence alone was going to stick them with an M rating and decided to just go all out. I really hope this is true because it means the game will be even crazier.
Getting to play a demo of this game and having to wait as long as you have thus far would be torture... I'm going crazy and I've just seen pictures and the few videos. These screenshots are so great cause they actually show off scenes that we havent seen before! I feel like the last year has been so sparse in terms of new HS goodness so this batch of screens is just amazing. Its scary how good this game is starting to look. I loved the 2005 vs 2007 comparison photos. This and Uncharted a...
You're the only person that is obsessed with this game on the same level as me. I've been watching this damn game for over two years now and the anticipation just grows with every bit of info. The shot of Nariko over the hundreds of soldiers has exciting potential! The shifting release dates are definitely driving me crazy though...
like you can tell a difference at first, but once you play the games in HD and watch blu ray movies in HD everything seems fuzzy in comparison. I only say this cause I just experienced it the other day when I went back to play Bully after a few months straight of PS3 and 360 gaming.
Advertisements will pay for Home, not developers.
is that you dont own that all day 5 gig download. You get something like 24 hours to watch and then you have to pay again. I would rather spend the 20-30 bucks on a disk that will last forever and I can watch whenever. Granted I also think those prices will drop as HD formats become more mainstream, but then again a lot of people are content watching a film once and never seeing it again.
Dante is not the main character in the next gen DMC. Capcom was wise in bringing this game over to the 360 with all its loyal DMC fans who apparently havent kept up on the news for this franchise....
Blu Ray is scratch resistant... and I mean scratch RESISTANT. Do some research and see what I'm talking about, people are abusing those disks like crazy and they still play flawlessly. Its a superior technology in every way. In addition, digital distribution is no where near being the norm. You would need EVERY household to be wired and we all know thats not the norm. My parents live in an area that still cant get DSL. Digital Distribution may be the way of the future, but its still far...
attributing 4d to a graphic related thing... I think it has more to do with interactivity like in Little Big Planet. We're not going to be passively playing these games any more, we're going to be creating from within the game space, hense you step into another dimension. The fourth dimention. Or sixaxis gives much more immersion, like it or not, I think its gonna be bad ass when I can cruise in a vehicle, turn with the joysticks and look around with the sixaxis to blast people without the...
