no one ignoring the exclusives, Mario Kart sold over 5 million with 10 million console sales, that is 2 times the sales of any first party ps4 game. Smash bros also sold more than any 1st party game for Sony.
The system do not sell, but Nintendo games always sell a lot no matter how much system is sold, this is how they kept their profits in the gamecube era, well that and the gamecube never sold at a loss, so it was straight profit.

They make 1 for each generation, for example 1 Mario Kart, altogether if you add the handhelds versions and console versions together there is 8 Mario Kart games ever made. The crazy thing about milking, Gran Turismo started on PS1 and it have more games than Mario Kart, even though Mario Kart came out way before Gran Turismo.
