Yes the game LOOKS absolutely awesome, but if it's lacking the content and game play, then all that is for nothing.
I don't care what the big wigs at EA or anywhere else say, this game is hype in it's own. There is no secret marketing formula to sell this game before it ships. If anything, the more "secret" and withheld information there is about this game the worse it is I feel.
They did their reveal all wrong with this game and they need to turn it around. I don't expect much before E3 next month, but June is going to be the time to really shine for this to be a huge hit as...
No doubt this will be a fun game. The star wars lore being there, the fact there hasn't been a star wars FPS in god knows how long, and the fact Dice is good at making FPS games (although this is also a 3rd person should you choose).

first IGN did a podcast about why they were worried about Star Wars Battlefront. now they do an episode of why they aren't worried about it and why we shouldn't be. literally there has been no new information on the game between that podcast and this episode.IGN his reputation of being sell outs and this really does not help
it took developers the lifespan of the xbox 360 to get its full potential (look at gears 3), these new gen consoles have only been out for 2 years and i dont think there has been an AAA game yet that wasnt on last gen in addition to this gen. I'd be very very surprised if it utilized the full power of the xbox one and ps4.
On another note, i dont care how beautiful a game looks, it needs the content and gameplay to be there. As far as consumers know now, this game is huge...

I'm more upset we know more about what isn't in the game then what is in the game. I know there are things that have not reveal to us yet but I think that way lead to the reveal was all wrong especially with all the fans expectations. even with the one game mode, walker assault, we know nothing about it other than it is 20 vs 20 and the white wings are controlled by AI
I agree. Pre ordering does no good. You give these publishers your money long befote release of the product. More or b less guaranteeing them your business. So months before the release of the game they are sitting on millions of dollars before its even done being worked on. This leads to problems in the game industry and this is why publishers andndevelopers fall short on promises to their customers.

it's funny. games get delayed so much but you never see movies get delayed. They should only reveal games when they are released within that year. I think it's ridiculous we see the same games at E3 for 3 - 4 years in a row. that is not acceptable.

I'm pretty much only giving them until E3 to recover from this. They are well aware of the concerns from fans, they see all these comments, articles and posts about player concerns. They know what we want and what we are looking for.
If I don't see what I need to see at E3 then my hopes for this game are completely shot. I can deal with some of the missing features, especially where we don't know everything about the game yet, but as of now DICE and especially EA aren'...

i dont understand why this gameplay demo is behind closed doors. People want more than anything to see what the game looks like in action. Maybe DICE wants to show a more completed product than alpha footage? but they also claim the cinematic trailer we saw is what the game actually looks like ..... so why not give reveal that? even if it is more or less scripted gameplay like most fps shooter trailers are its still better than a rendered engine cinematic
As of now with what people know this game is a lackluster of content, game mods, freedom (at ats, ground to space combat). If they do not shed more light on what the game does offer then i believe the game will only sell because of the name on the box.
there is literally no information in this article. it seems like every piece of news that comes out is either the game doesn't have this or that or the developers love making it so much and it's a fun game. Why don't you let your customers be the judge of that and the show is game played at the very least?
