Forza has a sold frame rate, and thats awesome.
from a technical perspective, yes GT5 is better, its lighting and HDR is much better, it runs at a higher resolution (its not 1080p, its 1080 verticle, and less than normal horzontal, but thats still better than 720p) and it has 12 cars in a race etc. etc.
however this doesnt matter for most owners, as if you own a 360 you get forza, and if you own PS3 you get GT5.
If you own both then you need to weigh up...
the comparison is stupid in thew first place, but ill let them get away with that. no, whats stupid is they are talking baout REPLAY VALUE. and they havent played either of them, and SC doesnt come out till 2010. im pumped for U2, and i might buy a 360 to play SC.
I dont judge a game on the combination of factors in its development, and then say it must not be a good game. thats BS. it plays well, is fun, etc. and thats why i like it, thats why it sells well etc.

I had this issue, my Ps3 would read everything but bluray games. sony would sya that my drive was faulty, but thats not true. if it was, all the disks would not work, as they share a common lens.
to fix it, i used the PS3 (specia) recovery menu, and recovered the filesystem.
as this occured to most people after firmware update, it clearly isnt a hardware issue, it this, look on youtube for instructions to get into the recovery menu.
12 million$, for a supposedly AAA game, GTA 4 cost 100 million, and estimates pitch Killzone 2 at around 60- 70 million, but then again, GTA 4 had alot of licensed music, and KZ2 made its engine from scratch.
The UE3 was already made by epic, and they could use models textures etc from gears one, so that reduced costs.
