Dude there are other MGS games than MGS4, although it's fantastic too. MGS1 was considered for a long time to be the best cinematic game ever with amazing story, and it still is to many. It also started them pretty much.
MGS1 and MGS3 are my top favorite games of all time, and they don't have 9 hours of cutscenes, 3-4 only. Have you ever played them? The story of the series is one of the best ever imo, but some don't understand it I guess.

Games these days take a lot longer to make than years ago. For example in PS1-PS2 days, a new FF, RE or MGS kept releasing fast.
But since PS3 era games have such good graphics etc, voice acting and all other stuff which just makes the developing process long. So I kinda agree with you that fewer games are being made. But still we will get a lot more games next year, just the waiting sucks because it feels longer than before.

Woah what the hell these review scores sure surprised me a lot, didn't expect to see this low points. Well I'm glad haven't hyped this game so much, because last driving game I really liked was maybe Gran Turismo 3 or 5. But I'll maybe buy this later and can't always trust reviewers, Driveclub might still be fun game.

It's just that people want something new, instead of the same old stuff each year. It would be nice to see what other things they can come up with.
Games like FF, GTA or MGS imo shouldn't be mentioned with the words "milking franchise", because they don't release every year. That is imo the problem for example with AC, BF or COD. They would feel more special to me if have longer breaks between games and then would make me perhaps more eager to jump into....
I want to enjoy AC games, but can't when they come way too often imo. Just like CoD or BF, but they sell a lot so...
Anyway, they should make it like MGS with years break between games, so I could maybe then try to jump more into the franchise and enjoy it. They would feel a lot more special this way, but it's just a milking cow.
No not all of them could easily disappoint, some of them are from very trusted developers who always make amazing games. Like Uncharted 4 or MGSV. Kojima has made every MGS awesome since 1998 so he won't disappoint fans. It's just something I know.
Also Witcher 1 and 2 were epic, so I have high hopes for Witcher 3 too. I only super hype games I know will be good, for example I didn't hype Watch Dogs or Destiny which I'm glad for.

Thanks for posting the list! Sure is a big list for Capcom to add/change in RE7. I mostly agree about what you commented of all 10 :). Here is my few thoughts:
10.) 1-2 playable main characters. RE2 is maybe the best for me because I loved seeing the events from both characters side/perspective, and it remained scary for both sides. But RE6 was just a clusterf*ck with too many characters and action sequences.

I love the older games by Team Silent and remember playing 1-3 many times, still do. I was pretty young when played SH1 on ps1 first time and each game was very scary with good characters etc. But SH2 definitely the best in the series so far imo :).

Saw the gameplay video few weeks ago and it didn't seem scary to me at all. Mostly because of the characters talking or screaming all the time. But of course, it is different experience to play it yourself than watch video. The game seemed more like just some slasher movie etc, which are not scary to me. I could be wrong and it might end up being really scary. Anyway that being said, I'm gonna still buy this game.
