I feel ya,this year's holiday releases just dont impress me as much as most years...Red Dead Redemption 2 will probably be the only game I buy day one but I may pick up Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Call of Cathulu when the black friday sales hit
You should have more faith in Rockstar than that..they always make very well written fairly long stories...of course it isnt gonna be just about robbing trains
Idk,I still think it will have its hands full trying to out do Witcher 3...which is saying a lot for the quality of CD Projekt Red's work considering Rockstar has been known for their quality since for ever..Witcher 3 has been out for years now and in my opinion,still hasnt been out done this gen..only a studio as great as Rockstar will out do what CD Projekt Red did with Witcher 3...Red Dead Redemption 2 and Witcher 3 will almost certainly be my 2 favs of this gen...of course Cyberpunk 2...
Yeah but this is a Rockstar game..one of their greatest franchises at that..we already know the level of greatness that awaits us,just a solid black screen with "Red Dead Redemption 2" printed across it would of sufficed...lmao...but I agree,this wasnt put together nearly as well as say,the trailers Sony have been using for Spider-Man

There are quit a few openworld games that do a good job of telling a story..how could anyone say such bullshit with games like the GTA franchise,the Elder Scrolls franchise,the Fallout franchise,the Mafia franchise,Horizon Zero Dawn,the new Spider-Man game had a great story as well...there are many open world games with good stories,these articles are always so full of shit..I will never understand why gaming has to have the worst "journalists" EVER

I honestly dont get the controller argument..Sony and Microsoft's controllers are basically the same thing..Ive never had a problem jumping from one to the other...I like the DS4 every bit as much as the Xbox One controller,the biggest difference is the placement of the left thumbstick but that shouldnt be a problem to quickly adapt to for anyone...if it boths you that much there is a converter thing you can buy that makes it possible to use a Xbox controller on a PS4 and a DS4 on a Xbox....
They would all definitely need their own controls because they all can't move like Spidey..not to say they couldnt still have a similar control scheme as the parkour aspect of Spider-Man turned out to be almost as cool as swinging through the city..they would have to make adjustments for every character as some can fly like Gene Grey..some drive or ride motorcycles like Ghost Rider..some run fast like Flash...some teleport like Loki...some would need to be slower and less nimble but stron...

Its not really fair to expect this game to do Uncharted 4,Horizon Zero Dawn,God of War,Spider-Man,etc numbers but Sony understands every game arent gonna do numbers like that..and games dont have to do those type of numbers to be considered a success...look at Detroit Become Human,it didnt do anywhere near as well as any of the games mentioned above but we havent seen Sony "kick their chair out from under" Quantic Dream
Exactly,it couldn't have been easy making something as deep and complex as a game engine easily usable for gamers who have no knowledge and/or understanding of the videogame development process...I cant wait,I also love the fact that it can be used to create VR games as well
