MGS4 is probably the worst in the series. I was talking about MGS1 and MGS3
I agree, this game is just far from perfect. Although the gameplay is fun most of the time, I'd rather see a more linear MGS with more cutscenes focusing on the story which is what MGS is all about
I have 80+ hours in the game and although the mission are repetitive I somehow still enjoy playing them. The story however is the weak point, and a lot of other things are wrong or done badly in this game
All the reviewers who gave MGSV a 10/10 are just Kojima fanboys. And this comes from someone who thinks MGS1 is one of the best game ever made, followed by MGS3
It's not like that. Every Final Fantasy is different and has pros and cons, but none of them were bad. FFXIII however is the only game in the series that is just terrible. From characters and art style to story and gameplay
If the game didn't have the title Final Fantasy in it, it would be decent at best. For Final Fantasy standards it's a disgrace
Sticking C4 to an enemy was also in MGS1. Already 17 years ago and still fun to do
If this was the FFVII remake this part would be one continent of the entire planet
This is only for FOB use right? We'll see if the ones with money will have an advantage over others. If so then very quickly FOB will be ignored by most players
I don't know if you guys have played MGSV yet but when you do pay attention on how much you see the name Hideo Kojima in the game. It's ridiculous. After each mission you will see his name several times in the credits
I already have the game for the PS4 and I can the Fox Engine looks amazing. From characters to metal buildings, day and night, lighting, the weather. Really having the feeling I'm in the 80's with a typical Metal Gear atmosphere
Slowly upgrading stuff and doing missions is well balanced as far as I can tell. I'm about 12 hours in the game
Can you imagine walking on the world map in the remake and seeing Rocket Town from far away with the giant space shuttle in the middle of it. There are hundreds of these moments which are going to be epic
As for the battle system, I wish they would ask the old school FFVII fans what the best balance would be for making it fresh and new but keeping the core elements of the gameplay. I'm afraid that if we leave it a hundred percent to the developers, it could turn out some...
Power of the cloud on the PS4
If you don't want spoilers then do NOT watch this trailer. You have been warned
That's the problem with hyped games. Reviewers are afraid to criticize even if it's not perfect. I'm not going to let this get in the way of my own opinion
As for the 'laconic' performance of Kiefer Sutherland as you put it, Kojima said that this time he wanted Snake to be someone using less words and more facial expressions. Which is also the reason why he didn't used David Hayter as Snake
I can't even remember what has been said between Snake and Big Boss. That part when you go back to Shadow Moses is what stands out for me in MGS4. I'm going to play it again just to visit that place one more time
What do you mean 10/10? You haven't even played it and don't know what the game will be like
A game is just good or it is bad. It will not automatically be a good game because it is MGS or because Kojima was involved
Consoles is couch gaming, sitting in front of your TV, no worries about your hardware. I personally think you cannot compare PC with consoles. It's the same as the difference between a handheld and smartphone game
To be honest The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is a better game. That goes for gameplay and graphics. Seriously the Unreal 4 engine is insane
Yes now we have better graphics and internet and all, but still after all these years nothing beats games like MGS1, FFVII or SotC.
Gaming has become a billion dollar industry so things like making money and not getting fired are more important than art and creativity. Sadly
Everything in MGS1 and MGS3 is memorable. And although I didn't like MGS4, going back to Shadow Moses and then when the music starts, it brought tears to my eyes
Square-Enix is not going to release Kingdom Hearts 3 before or shortly after FFXV. Both are big titles and they will get in the way of each other if they release one right after the other
