@ sidar
While you make some valid points, I still disagree based on my own experiences. I think the large majority of people who have purchased the wii and are making it a huge success are people who have never purchased a videogame system before (such as my grandparents, who bought one for themselves this holiday) The majority of people who are purchasing the wii are not really even in traditional 'videogame' market. The people who own the wii don't read gaming magazines, don'...
@ Matchgrade
Have you ever playd CS? I haven't played it much since 2004/2005 when it first came, but even then, there were lag free 64 player online matches that graphically, looks better then than resistance 2 looks now.
@ Skerj
Yeah.. everybody has there own episodes they like and dislike, and the funny thing is, if you read the forums on Southparkstudios.com (lots of diehard fans there) every single episode that gets released, for like the last however many years, there is always the same responses.
~ That was lame, this show is going downhill
~ That was the best episode I've ever seen, I was laughing so hard!
~ I liked that, but its not like the good ole days

I'm glad they are working on fixing the split screen multi, as it is the only 'bug' I have experienced.
Also, I wish they would allow player 2's stats to be saved in split screen co op. I wonder why they don't.
Agreed. I feel there has been over reaction to these numbers (as always) in two ways.
1: Ps3 fans not giving credit where credit is due. Yes, the ps3 got trounced in North America in October. No reason to deny it, Microsoft knew it didn't have the games to compete with ps3 this holiday season, so it gave the 360 an aggressive price cut, and heavily marketed the big games it did have coming out, way more than any Sony release, and it appears to have paid off for Microsoft in NA...
Its all because those that sony defense force or whatever they were called left as they mentioned they would on that article tht was posted Saturday night. They said it would be different. Well here it is.
@ thor
Agreed.
I do think home theoretically will be cool, but I don't seem myself being able to get any of my friends on it.
I think the only chance home has, is if it really is a reliable and easy way for a group of gamers to start a multiplayer game. I know all the Gran Turismo buffs are just dieing to have private rooms to be able to play with friends. If when home comes out, you can just invite people to your apartment, and all join the race (...

I disagree. Sometimes, I wish games are longer. Games like Call of Duty 4, and R2, my roommates and I usually purchase and finish in one all night session. I remember Doom 2 had like 30 or more levels.. and the feeling of accomplishment you had when you finished it was much greater, I believe, only because it was longer(and its difficulty... I started R2 on the Hard and finished without much trouble.. not the case with doom 2!). Doom2 even had somewhat repetitive gameplay, but it was repe...
As a ps3 owner, I don't think we can give X-Box fans are hard time about this.
reason 1: They have a choice to install or not, they can decide if the benefit of installing is worth it for themselves, where we do not have a choice.
reason 2: One disadvantage of Blu-Ray (in terms of installing on the HD) is that it might end up being that the games will be much larger, and the option to install becomes less and less viable (50 GB install for MGS4? No thanks..).
@yogi
Thanks for the reply..
I hope so. I have not beat it yet (I apparently just disobeyed orders to go to some base somewhere in Idaho (or is it North Dakota?) and as the game has progressed I have started to care less about having no idea whats going on and have started to appreciate the sheer awesomeness of some of the levels, I look forward to beating it.
I haven't played gears (only own ps3), but I can't imagine any game could do much less in terms of story than R2 does.
I've been hatin a little on Resistance 2 on here already, but I'm starting to realize I've been a little harsh.
The gameplay in R2 is amazing. The enemies are amazing, the scope is amazing, the surroundings and weapons are great, and the graphics are great. However, to some extent, is almost entirely undone by the games complete lack of a coherent storyline, its almost like playing a glorified tech demo.
In the first two hours, the story is very important, to get y...
@darth
Yeah.. I've played a little farther than you, but there is still really no way to know what is going on. Apparently, Nathan and a bunch of others have a virus (which you wouldn't really know if you didn't read the back of the box... and they mention 'inhibitors' on the radio a lot, but there is no gameplay mechanic for it...) At this point, I've killed some big bosses but don't really know where I'm going or why. I apparently just disobeyed an order, and now I'm off to ...

1. - Co op. Originally, it was thought that the Co op mode was an 'entirely different campaign all by itself!" Upon purchase however, I know realize there is no story to the co op mode at all, just 5 different random settings where you do the exact same thing, run towards your objective, kill everything, run to different ...
Hey now, Gran Turismo:P is easily my most played game on the ps3. While maybe not for everyone, the game does have a very large and very serious fanbase who swear by it and play little else besides Gran Turismo.
@1.13
Quote-"Funny, every console fan hated Crysis, saying it was a tech demo... now they all want it in their console"
Every console fan? How about your heard maybe a dozen at most on some internet site say that. I would say most consoles fans would love to have crisis.
@1.5
Bad Shape??
GT5 Prologue is probably my favorite game of all time, and has easily taken more of my time than any other game this generation.
Agreed...
My roommate watched me play the Demo and we both had quite a laugh at the terrible voice work... numorous spots were plain awkward...
And I don't mean funny.... more just bad.
I know enough of the wii library to believe my last comment was not stupid.
What FPS game on the wii would you show to a COD4 / Resistance / Halo 3 fan on the ps3/360 that would impress them? Yes, there are some FPS games there (like COD on the wii...) but they are not any good and there is no way anyone who has played the version on the ps3/360 would want to play the wii versions.
What fighting game would you show someone who is fan of Soul Caliber or Virtual fight...
