I got a 360 for Christmas. Alan Wake is a really good game and the 360 gets some digital releases that the ps3 does not. I still prefer my ps3, but it's nice to have options. Also, I'm a 28 year old woman with a well paying gig, why not have the trifecta under the tv if I can afford it?

I like cutscenes. I prefer my games story driven a la Alan Wake or Uncharted. So, no, 70 minutes is not too much for me.
It is most definitely one busy box. Luckily I only see the spine of most of my games.
I've been actively considering selling the console I got for Christmas to pick up Move for this game. I'd be selling it at a major loss, but I haven't really taken to it the way I thought I would.

About how long did it take you to complete? Did you do all the side missions? Trophy/Achievement whore it? I'm worried about it being super short. Is it as bad as the Destructoid review makes it out to be? Sorry to badger you with questions. I have a long drive home before I can start downloading.

I disagree with your assumption that the career mode will only be 8 hours and linear as the devs have said it would be more open world and no one knows the length of the game yet. I also do not think monsters necessarily make a game more interesting. That said RPG's usually have a longer single player than many shooters on the market. I totally underhand someone wanting an RPG more than a shooter. That was part of the appeal of Borderlands for me. I like shooters and Diablo-esque RPG'...

My brother-in-law paid for our plus membership. I've gotten some good games at a discount, meaning I get to keep them, and I've gotten some games for free that I may have never tried and ended up enjoying them. I still buy new games on impulse, see Joe Danger, Shank, Scott Pilgrim and Castle Crashers. It may not be worth it to everyone, but for me it's like a Kroger card with the added benefit of the occasional free game.
