I was really just excited with the setting. Taking it away from the tribal aspect should be interesting.
There's a balance with them. I think like Shadow of Mordor has effective towers. There's a few to add challenge, but not so many that it becomes obnoxious.
Sci-Fi is based on real science. Like 2001, Interstellar, all that would be consider "sci-fi". They take real things, like relativity, and create a story around them.
Star Wars never really explains how things work. It's set in space, but it's more of a Melodrama, with a hero, damsel in distress, and supreme villian, and less of a hardcore sci-fi story.
