they figured how the white engine works and were finally able to implement it on consoles, the devolopment of this game had already been too far gone, the second thing is that they licensed the unreal engine already so it would be a waste of money spent on getting the engine and would probably void a contract they had to use the engine. (Everything i stated is not fact and may be wrong this is my take on what happened.)
the AI is a little bit better and you cant take nearly as much damage, i was shouting an expletive the moment my screen went gray with just stepping out of cover for a second and then i had to make sure all my head shots counted and done fast before i would go gray screen for stepping out again.
I played the game demo multiple times and i still had trouble on hard even when i knew where each character was coming from.

gears is a good game but dont act like it was revolutionary in any way killswitch invented cover system i think if its a wannabe its a killswitch and pitfall wannabe.
Like you didnt hype games last year when the only good thing to play for 360 was call of duty and about nothing else till gears. Nobody is hyping a game if they talk to others who are interested in it anyway, it is in ps3 section so its not like anybody is crowding the streets yelling out to buy this game.

i was impressed by the AI they are freaking hard to kill i mean it gets easier with repeated plays because you know where they are and where they are going to jump down from but if you think you can just run around shooting and not take cover you will die even on easy.
think that you are a little correct it does have some controls from gears it also has the adventure style in it, but what is awesome is if the people from gears became indiana jones and started going on adventures then maybe they would be like this.
On a sidenote my friend actually played the demo and he compared it to being a new pitfall game that is what he thought of it.

when nathan is hanging on a ledge if you press the aim button, he reaches over with one hand to fire his gun but still hangs on so you use the hanging wall as cover when you stop aiming and firing that is why there is a whole next to a gate at some point in the game demo.
the hand fighting system, you dont know what crazy combo he is going to do next. I was blown away twice by it.
1: i get to a guy taking cover drake smashes him into the wall he is taking cover on and destroys him.
2: i run up to a guy and press the attack button what does drake do? he jumps in the air and kicks with both legs to the guys face it was freakin sweet.

it actually takes some skill to throw the grenades and is realistic nobody throws a perfect grenade all the time, i think its great that it has a learning curve the more you throw grenades with the sixaxis the better you get.

the dreamcast had online multiplayer for a slew of different games. I even played a dreamcast game online against people how the h3ll did Halo get credited, not to mention the shortchanging of every online multiplayer before it.
i feel your pain though i would have been dissapointed if uncharted came out for Europe and when i download it it is region locked.

i was going to buy a launch ps3 before the price cuts if ff7 came out with it. I would have spent that much when it was at a very high price. Then i found out it was a tech demo and wondered where the hell the game was. So i waited till the 60 gig went down in price and bought it. They better make it, if that game is made for the ps3 it will destroy the competition. It would make people who after ff7 have stopped gaming come back just to play it.
who have money as no option, because everything they get is of the highest standards and dlc is expected and is usually free, not to mention mods make the games worth playing long after the game is over. Half Life mods alone account for a large amount of gaming, any console owner who does not concede pc is better is a moron. The pc gamers have always had high def because their monitors have resolutions already that high and didnt have to wait for hdtv catching up.
about the demo was how freaking long it was, battle after battle i got tired of the demo and was about halfway through it. Why would i want to buy the game when i was done way before the demo finished.
Also the battle system is way to messed up, having units attack is one thing but its like your limited to fighting like a pretty pathetic average fighter which is fine if you had more freedom of movement and fighting techniques.

The standards of pc gamers are a lot higher, they want to customize everything with mods, and have all map packs available and all these things free, they actually expect that to be free as it has always been for them. PC gamers wont even give the game a chance if it doesn't have those even if they liked the game.
i did look all i ran into was dialog videos, i was talking about the link for this post it just took me to a blog thx tho. The only complaint i have is that the fighting fps gfx only look ok maybe it was the website at gamespot, they're not mind blowing but while i was watching i was impressed for a game that is an rpg.

you must never play games on pc xfire does chat and friendlist and its free, not to mention when you play a game for pc because it has dedicated servers unlike one consoles network that is pos p2p connection with good add ons to see who playing and talk but even with those extra features the game online still runs like sh@t even if u can talk to your friends while playing the game with sh@t online actual play it still is sh#t online play.
