@Ben_Rage_3
No problem! Glad I was able to clarify that a bit and you'll definitely love the game.
Thanks for the compliment on the review! We aim to provide in-depth reviews so the reader knows exactly what to expect when getting into the game (without spoiling any important plot devices).
As for the ability to play on the GamePad and TV, I simply meant that you don't have to do any additional work to switch from playing on the TV to GamePad. For example, if you play Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge and want to continue it on the GamePad, you have to access the game&...
Same here. While it was cool to replay NGS+ on the Vita, the 30 fps definitely hampered my experience as well. For those who never played NGS before, it wouldn't be noticeable. But to the die-hard fans, you can definitely spot the difference and didn't feel as smooth as the console version.
This is an excellent video that really does showcase a phenomenal gaming era!
Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon CIty says "hi" :)
As someone who's played the game since Thursday non-stop, the only rap song in the game is the one from the trailer...and it only plays when trying to join an online match. I won't get into details about the soundtrack as my in-depth review goes live at 9am EST, but petitioning for a song that you barely hear for more than 30 seconds is pretty childish. Take it from someone who's not a fan of rap music and has actually completed the game.
You're in for a real treat. Borderlands 2 is one of the finest games this generation and an easy 2012 GOTY contender!
You've clearly never played the Wii U version. I can confirm the game ran at 60 fps and actually performed better on the Wii U than PS3/360 during my demo playthrough.
Here's a tip: Don't listen to IGN's review.
I just completed the game and am currently writing a review for it as well. Game Informer did a solid job providing their review for this as opposed to IGN's reviewer who clearly doesn't "get" Double Dragon.
All I'll say for now is that WayForward did a the great job with the game. It's just plain fun and feels nostalgic.
@Afterlife
If Hayabusa gets officially announced...well, that would be just plain epic. :)
Truth spoken here. I'm currently replaying all the games on the Ratchet & Clank Collection and they're still some of the finest games ever made in my opinion. The weapons and gadgets are some of the most creative in a game, the stories are great, incorporating solid humor and serious story-telling at the same time, the music is just phenomenal across the board, and the games are just downright fun!
Also, cool post TrendyGamers. I like how you showcased what these...
Actually, this R&C collection contains the PS2 games that were released on the Ratchet HD Trilogy (which was released in Europe a few months earlier than NA). There are no PS3 installments of the franchise to be found on this disc.
Good find. Leave that as a comment on the site and I'll update it and credit you for the find. :)
So far, out of all the games that have been released this year, this is the only game I pop back in daily. EA Canada did an outstanding job bringing this series back and love the amount of support they keep providing it. Very much like how Criterion Games provided a ton of support for Burnout Paradise, EA Canada seems to be following that trend with SSX.
I never got around to playing Fluidity actually. I'll have to definitely check that out when I get a chance.
Definitely was. I wrote up a "Top 10 Hardest/Most Rewarding Challenges" editorial ( http://gamersxtreme.org/201... earlier this year and that was one of them. I remember spending a solid month playing the game non-stop after school to master it. Beating this without dying once was easily one of the most rewarding moments in gaming for me.
This better come to the US PSN as well. One of my favorite PS2 games of all time. Still remember beating the entire game without dying once.
Agreed. I would love to see the customization return again. Criterion Games has an excellent handle on the racing genre as a whole so I'm not worried about this one.
Thanks! :)
Personally, I found this to be a great article, and one where I was able to relate to every level of every game mentioned. Solid topic choice that perfectly fits the season. Good read!
