It has been a known fact on the PC version of this game it won't be until October, 2007 timeframe. Did these people even contact Maxis or EA to get the correct information or read all the current articles that are out right now. Good to know there is a 3rd person view... looks like I might get this after all ... Would of gotten it sooner but was sucked into the Final Fantasy world and it is hard to break me away from those games when i get started.
Look forward to playing this game and glad that they don't play favorites and really try to optimize the game for all systems.

Is there a 3rd person view to this game.. everything I have seen has been first person and I don't think I'm ready for another first person RPG game... I normally get aggrevated with them.
that the component cables to you looks better than HDMI on your TV set. Since every TV set is built differently and you could have an older firmware for your HDMI on your TV set.
The problem with new TVs is that they are as easy to get a firmware update compared to our gaming systems or computer systems. I think if TVs are going to use intructional codes and talk back and forth to give you a picture based on the HDCP then you should be able to update your TVs firmware in order...
So you get your HD-DVD player for lets say 500 ... now if you look at the title price vs BD-rom price there is anywhere from a 5-12 dollar difference in price for the same movie. That price is higher for HD-DVD vs. BD-Rom. The Reason I mention this is if you buy 20 movies that are available for 5 dollars cheaper thats a 100 more dollars you spent on those title. If they were all 12 more then thats 240 you spent extra. bringing you closer to the price of a stand alone BD-Rom player.

I played the "demo" which as anyone knows it can change at final release. I would have to say this was a good game.. cause every time I was in Target I went to play it again.
The vehicles played like I would think they would and man I miss having a wall to stay on so I can stay full speed around a corner... yeah i know its not realistic but hell thats my style. Pedal to the Metal.

But watching that video only seems to explain how many polygons that are being used in order to make it seem more realistic and stunning. I'm very very basic on Kanji so I could only understand a word or maybe 2 .. so I didn't actual understand what he was saying. but what I want to put out there is its only 12-15 hour so about 6 hours longer than Gears of War.
I'm beginning to think that all game sites rate FPS games 7+ because its a FPS but where is the single player replay value. I mean I know the majority of the people on this site love FPS and love online play as where I don't. Not that I don't think games shouldn't have online but I think for those that don't have time to mess with people online the games single player mode should ...

The PS2 was not an entry level DVD player compared to the price of DVD players. It was 50-100 dollars more than a stand alone dvd player, but if you are a gamer and wanted a DVD player also and didn't own a dvd player already then yes it was a decent way to watch dvd movies also.
Now in the sense of BD-rom player I will say that the PS3 is a good entry level player plus it gives you the ability to play games, but lets face it. Most Hi-def movie buffs will want the stand alone ...

Live on X360 was terrbile compared to NBA2K7 .... All I was going to do was wait to see if the same held true for the PS3, but I guess it was that bad that its not coming to PS3 .... Thats fine with me... They haven't done a decent NBA live since NBA live 99 and 2K sports has done a much better job with physics and gameplay than EA has done. It has the ability to have no wait even when going through the menus to make it a live action RPG style game where your constantly have to keep on your toes and you btter have a good gambit system setup for that and you can change your gambit system on the fly makes it that much better. Also when you tell them to attack they keep attacking until you beat them, they beat you, or you run away with your tail between your legs.

If its a cutscene using cgi or the realtime engine does it really matter? You still don't get to play the game and they are still having to use a cutscene to further the story or something they couldn't do truly in-game to keep the story going. The only real difference with realtime and CGI is that that realtime-cutscenes are using the objects from the game. Such as lets see... Metal Gear Solid.

Forgot living in the US things get released differently here too ... 11 months or so after Japan release for FFXII that would of been too long of a wait... I almost imported FFXII from Japan when it was released in March but had to hold off cause my understanding of Japanese language is very limited... I know what some words mean or said but thats only cause I played FFXI and had to learn some of the language in order to get a group at odd times of the day or night when i played it.
Oh well If I waited 3 years for XII then whats 2 more years for XIII ... of course if you read the fine print "It is expected we will see at least the main PS3 version of Final Fantasy XIII in 2008 in Japan ". It took 8 months from the time Japan saw XII til the US saw XII.... Although, playing the game right now it was worth the wait but I really hate waiting for the Final Fantasy games.

is like saying FPS is tiring... I'm sorry but how many FPS can you have in a war setting shooting the same type of guns at some random enemy (alien or human doesn't matter) ... running around and looking at different backgrounds.
That statement above is my "opinion" of FPS.. I haven't played them since Duke Nukem and Doom which I think were the best of them. To call the FF series a sequel or not different is from someone that has the same opinion as me about FPS.... ...
The people stating this already own a next gen platform and there is no point in buying a brand new next gen system for the same games. I can see that point clearly. Me personally have been taking the wait and see approach and enjoying the new games coming out that I enjoy on the PS2, PC, and psp. I can't wait til phantasy star and FFXII. My gaming preferences is what chose my last system and I am waiting to see where the games I like end up.
