this game will never make back its $500million developement price tag, acti will get upset, place 100% blame on bungie, and throw them to the dogs,
sony is a world wide company, NPD is just a niche market for them, its for bragging rights to outsell a console in a competitors market (USA, microsoft), sony looks to japan and the asian markets on how to push or improve their hardware (ps4,ps4,vita), this is also why sony has a studios in european, asian, and american markets, they push software that pushes console sales.
im gonna agree with the reviewers, if your going to give people 5 planets, limited missions, limited raids, and a very small multiplayer, your cant tell them to wait a long time to review the game, let the people review what your currently have, if destiny is long term, then people will judge what you add to the game.
this game looks like cops and robbers.
lol just like xbots hated insomniac when they only made ps games, but now sunset overdrive is the greatest (since its xbox one exclusive).
lol, acti knew destiny will get butchered by the reviewers/ "journalists".
it was a poorly developed, released game.
"Even when there is opportunity for young developers to make something freely, they tend to make similar proposals".
2 things.
1. miyamoto needs to research the "indie" scene, these are small, new devs that operate freely with out the limitations or constraints of publishers and only after their product is designed do they look for a publisher and today its alot easier for indies to get their product out on consoles.
2....
Destiny is like investing in a startup company, bungie and activision gave a out of this world vision for a game, but its going to need time and effort from both the developers and gaming community to get to its height, im investing in the long term projects, this will be the game of the decade.
or "if its broke, go F yourself, we dont care".
in ten years theres going to be a ps5, ps6, haha worse prediction than pachters.
theres a massive gap between what UE is capable of and what developers actually make.
they might not be able to get the wiiu version to look like ps4/xone, but they can make it look better than other wiiu titles, they can pride themselves on using the full potential of the wiiu's hardware and resources.
what would people say if pachter said, "sony, will have to abandon console hardware"
"David Auerbach is a writer and software engineer based in New York. His website is http://davidauerba.ch."... lol amateur journalists calling other amateur journalists "dead", cassic.
im sure 20yrs ago, people thought cartridges were future proof, then CD format replaced it, dvd evolved to bluray, its only inevitable for digital distribution to be mainstream.
the exclusives for micro, sony, nintendo are gonna be the top pics,
in 10yrs micro and sony will wage all out Cloud war, they will both create services and peripherals that utilize both computers and home entertainment tv's, systems, they will both create games for their cloud services, and in away will wage all out marketing and advertising war.
nintendo will go in the way of sega, no console, but you will now be able to play mario, zelda, luigi, etc on micro, or sony's cloud services, and thus they will be able to create a great al...
how about overall selling over 200 million consoles, and over a billion software titles,
if rockstar is going to recycle vice city, they should atleast add, orlando (disney world), tampa bay, jacksonville, florida keys.
