To answer the question you have to understand how a core works. To answer the question its a big fat NO. Kinect is holding the console back but not enough to let PS4 jump ahead so much the GPU on the PS4 is making the differnce along with that RAM. That GPU is made for GDDR5 as is GDDR5 made for games. It's as simple as that.
Indeed this article gives it away they had to really scrape the barrel for that 6th exclusive for Xbox with cuphead. they also listed Crackdown which hasn't got a 2015 release date on, in fact it has no release date and it will no doubt be more like 2016 along with gears. Sony have loads of exclusives for the hardcore gamers like Disgaea etc.. That people never talk about the real console sellers as you can only get these games on playstation. NIS are amazing.

The DRM is still part of the consoles core and MS cannot remove it, it was too late and they patched it and when you patch something you cover over the cracks never remove it 100%. Its hardcoded its like when you have no net you cannot play your digital games if you don't connect at least once every 48 hours. More proof there is no "off switch" for DRM on Xbox. This is DRM at play and worrying for MS as if a game gets removed from the store you can no longer play it. But they sweep this under the carpet.

It effects Xbox One if you haven't signed in, in 24 hours however, last time the network got hacked my friend couldn't play on his Xbox One as Xbox One has that stupid check before you start your game as they couldn't fully remove the DRM from the console. Once it was up though he signed in then it let him play. You don't have to be signed in to play but if you don't sign in once every 24 hours you get locked out of your digital titles at least.

They do going into 2015 yes. I cannot see what MS is going to do other than an official price cut which they cannot afford to do.
