You can only turn off auto-renewel online in certain countries now.

Well I feel that if people cant sell their old games they are less likely to buy as many new games. I think more emphasis should be placed on giving good incentives to buy games new like download codes and that sort of thing. They need to make it desireable to buy the games new but for the less well-off people there needs to be the second-hand option just to keep them in gaming.
Most important thing to do is prevent piracy though.

The test wasn't to find if the new 360 can ring (it's obvious it can), it was to find which console could stand the heat longer. In this case it was the 360 and once the PS3 had shut down it would cause the temps in the cabinet to drop so it wouldn't be a fair test any more if you see what I mean.
I wouldn't worry. If anything were to go wrong your covered by the warranty.
They are on the same shelf so the temperatures around each console are pretty much the same.
Best way to improve this test would be to use a PS3 Slim and carry it out multiple times.

Thinking about it, when I got the RoD they was asking about my power brick but they never replaced it and its been fine since.
