E3 coverage was insane. In fact, it still isn't over.

From the article:

"But another raucous has been caused among this set of gamers, saying Nintendo are offering these current-gen multi-platform titles and passing them off as next-gen experiences with the Wii U. Again, I find this untrue; the Wii U is currently the only next-gen console of its time and currently still has the PS3 and Xbox 360 as its contenders for an indefinite time until their successors alongside the Wii U are announced. Due to this fact, many gamers ...

Hey guys, remember Wii Speak?

...Exactly.

No. By next year, the current generation would've already gone on seven/eight long years, and I find it hard to believe gamers aren't bored already. We're getting re-iteration after re-iteration, sequel after sequel and playing them over and over with the same experience is just bland, even with new IPs. Their recent saving grace is the introduction of the PS Move and Kinect respectively, and the former is only a more accurate deviation for something we first saw introduced in 200...

The Wii U has great "hardcore" exclusives such as ZombiU, Bayonetta 2, Ninja Gaiden III: Razor's Edge, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, LEGO City: Adventure (seriously, this looks like LEGO GTA.) The Wii U also has great multiplatform "hardcore" titles such as Black Ops II, Assassin's Creed III, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Darksiders II and Mass Effect III.

And let's not forget a whole range of other games like Aliens: Colonial Marines, Fists of the N...

Sigh. If you've been following the news lately, you'd know that Elite was supposed to come free with Black Ops II on Wii U, i.e. included on-disk. Yet they haven't delivered on that promise.

And nobody knows whether or not developers really have no idea whatsoever on Nintendo's online system, and seeing as it's only a month away from release, I'd say it's unlikely. We, as consumers, do not know the same things as developers do, and even if develope...

Dragon Quest X, the MMO, is set for release on the Wii U, alongside the Wii title. Just no date yet.

Simply put? For the same reason Nintendo's inventing Miiverse, to be honest.

Did you just misinterpret this entire article or what? Where on earth did I ever say that there's evidence for anything I said? I said this MIGHT be the case, not this IS/WILL BE the case. It's a possibility, not a confirmed problem that led to this whole in-game voice-chat fiasco. I can't exactly research what nobody knows yet, can I?

The GamePad (a controller) will obviously use cheaper hardware than the Vita (a handheld), so stop comparing apples to oranges. We...

Sigh. I don't think many people realise how truly advanced the GamePad and Wii U in conjunction prove to be, especially power-wise.

Graphics? We don't need graphics above full HD right now - visuals are already getting realistic enough, and the Wii U has been confirmed to be supporting 3D as well as HD (just not at launch). You want a 4k resolution? Good luck getting the accompanying $600 console and $800+ TV so you can actually even see those visuals. If 4k resolutio...

Everybody who I've heard tested out the GamePad at some event or the other said the controller was superbly comfortable, and the controls were seamless. The shape is very deceptive, and Nintendo obviously went the extra mile to make such an unorthodox-looking controller to be great.

Wait until you've actually tried it before spouting counter-opinions.

4993d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

That's a very good point, I must admit.

But the very big difference? One is a $250 handheld console, the other is a controller to a console. The GamePad is obviously going to be using much cheaper hardware than the PS Vita (especially as it will be available for retail somewhere down the line). Connect the dots.

I've considered this possibility for a while. With Wii sales plummeting rather rapidly, the Wii U seemed to have jumped the gun by being an unexpected "shotgun console" that Nintendo needed to stay alive in the gaming industry without missing a year or two to have a release alongside Sony and Microsoft (which, in my opinion, would've inevitably lead to an industry crash). But that does not mean I believe the Wii U is "catching up" with their competitors - far from ...

In actuality though, I do like this song. It's something that makes me enjoy not taking myself seriously, and I thought the video was eccentric as hell. It's meant to be stupid, silly and laughable just for people to be able to have fun. Probably the best thing that has gone viral in a while.

Looking forward to all the hilarious YouTube uploads that will result from this.

The author of this article is severely under-informed on the recent happenings of this industry. More journalists and game sites need to pay attention to consumer trends, as well as console performance.

Don't just shove every article you can think of down our throats.

Just so everyone knows, I'm the one who interviewed him (my co-writer posted it up for me) and while I also think his predictions are incompetent a lot of the time, what I was focused on while talking to him was only his opinions on the Wii U alone, not how it'd compete in business with Sony and Microsoft.

He did have some pretty interesting insights on the console and came off indifferent at certain times in the interview, so I wouldn't say he's the whole Ant...
