The original source came from GameFAQs. Not GameTrailers. Just look at the time of the posts or threads.
That GameTrailers thread was posted two hours after Knight613 posted that stuff. That user from GameTrailers was lying. He never had a source... the source was GameFAQs.
This could be a rumor. We are not certain if fellow GameFAQs user Knight613 is an employee of Sony Computer Entertainment or not. Knight613 has deleted his own post which consisted of his SCEA employee ID.

I wouldn't say "leaked." Fellow GameFAQs user greeny69 obtained his copy of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots two weeks earlier before the initial release date of June 12th.
If memory serves me right, a person obtained his copy of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare two weeks before its release date last November.

The title is somewhat misleading. It's actually a PlayStation Blog post about releases of this week (mainly Gran Turismo 5).
