The title did reflect the description of the article. You expected some hype or something more, the article gave you details of what is being worked on in the game. No matter how boring or lacklustre you feel it is, it is still what is being worked on

And if you go by anything in the PAX EAST footage, the graphics still are impressive

Many games still use Inverse Kinematics no matter how far along it was introduced, it is not a dated thing and it is very important in physics, hell i researched it for my recent ragdoll physics project. I guess any game that uses animation is also not cutting edge or new technology

They spent an estimated 400 million on budget production and advertising for the new spiderman movie, have already made 550 million with more to come plus blu ray /dvd sales, the budgets are very expensive though but they are making great enough profit from it, they have 3 or more spiderman movies already up for production. Its clearly not the problem, Marvel characters make a lot of money through fans, kids and adults with kid, Would be dumb of Sony to let Spiderman movies go.

How do you know they are adding a layer of Dynamic?? It highly depends on what they want to achieve, it might be more dynamic than baked, like Killzone.
And it is still next gen, Dynamic lightning is better but for developers still has more fault than properly tweaking baked lightning which allows for more options

Insomniacs games have worked with Sony for a while so why would it be hard to reach them?? Sony wanted the IP franchise for Sunset Overdrive which is standard for business while Insomniac wanted to own the IP. Microsoft allowed Insomniac which is fine. It just means in the future any other make of Sunset Overdrive can come to other consoles as Insomniac are not owned by Microsoft and own the IP for the game.
