Not that simple. Vita needs to carve out it's own identity, being seen as a ps3 junior has some drawbacks.
For instance, why buy a game on Vita when you can get the superior version on ps3? From a business point of view it doesn't make much sense.

People always get hyped up over pretty much nothing when Naughty Dogs is involved. They could say "It will use Buttons" and it is Game of the Year. There are plenty of games that could easily claim that exact same thing at the end of this year.
Same can be said about most other anticipated games.

That argument doesn't hold water because other PS exclusives in the last couple of months have also had lackluster sales, especially when compared to multiplatform games on the ps3.
So instead of buying Sly Cooper, what other playstation only game exactly are they buying? Not PASBR.
Why are games like Sly Cooper languishing in sales mediocrity? People rejoiced when it was annouced and vowed to purchase day 1 but it has sold very poorly. Same thing happened with Starhawk last year.

Here's the bottomline about CoD, SONY benefits from every single copy sold on their platforms and it would be remiss to think otherwise.

Bungie is not a publisher, Activision is publishing Destiny. So Activision is backing both consoles, it's only a sore point when Microsoft is involved enen though they don't outright buy full content exclusivity like Sony does.
