Some of the people signing the petition are just trolling Hard. I read some of the signatures and about 50 of them are people that are NOT supportive at all and pretty much taking the piss out of the whole thing.

I believe the last game Miyamoto-san directed was
"The legend of Zelda - Ocarina Of Time. So yes, it has been quite a while since he has sat in the directors chair.
