You do realize the Vita was released at a time when people spend their money right? going by what you said is Vita can't compete with the competition thats why its not selling but the 3DS can compete and compete well since it sold 6.1x what the Vita sold during the time "people spend their money".
So what will happen during the time people don't spend their money much o.o

All companies get their bashing example Nintendo with WiiU and 3ds sales and wii performance this year, Microsoft about not having many exclusives and live fees and in the past rrod, Sony about the psn hack this year and exclusives not selling up to their standard and the Sony being greedy with the psv proprietary memory card and as of now psv sales.
Another guy who thinks the world is against Sony, Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo each had their share of doom article so stop it.
Nintendo did not cut the price of the 3DS because of the Vita they cut it because it was not selling up to Nintendo's standards it does not matter whether the PSV was coming or not they cut it to increase the sales before they released the software because they did not want the software to flop which would happen if there was not enough 3DS sold....
Sony will abandon the psp when the vita releases in America and Europe, the vita ain't backwards compatible, you think they going to use their resources to push the psp or the vita i leave you to choose o.o

As for the lineup in japan its just not good enough to draw people to buy it and once again the only reason at the moment i see that i would want a vita would be because of the vita hardware and not the vita games if they get good and appealing games by February that would really give me a reason to buy one as for now no .

Realy i thought both handhelds were toys o.o, and they have or are getting the same type of games mature and kiddy.
Yes it needs a stronger lineup, the only thing that interest me about the Vita now is the Vita hardware itself not the games and that for some people is not enough they need the games.
The sales in the article does not include America and Europe for the 3DS it is about whats happening in japan and it the first week of sales for the vita compared to the current 3DS week sales.

This article is not about your opinion on if sony had a rough year it is about sony as a business and this year sony's exclusives did not sell well exept uncharted thus is was a rough year, that is what i am trying to tell you understand now?
It was a rough year because most of those exclusives except uncharted, did not sell well.
All companies are bashed, you may not realise it
because when microsoft and nintendo are bashed you agree with the bashing but when sony is getting it you beleave is some conspiracy, there is none >.>
Sony had more exclusives true but that doesn't mean the other exclusives on the 360 and Wii are irrelevant, they all are good.
Are you oblivious to the fact that it is not doing well, first two days of release over 320k sold and then a full week 72k sold.... lets not forget that was the week where people spend their money the most so how will it do at a time when people don't spend much.
